CP, I agree with much of what you said being a Catholic myself. However, there are many bishops speaking out against the Vatican. There are bishops calling for the Pope to step down. There are many bishops who disagree with the vatican II council. There are many calls to throw out this council decrees. The Catholic church is not perfect but Jesus changed Simons name to Peter (which means rock in Greek -Petre) and said you are Peter, and upon this Rock I will build my church. So I do believe the Catholic church is the church of Jesus. But it has strayed from Christ's teachings. You are correct that as the Vatican is now a micro-country inside Italy and has a seat at the UN council as the "Holy See" they are political and therefore corrupt.
