Thank you :-) Very good .
I love you comments. James Brown, spot on! Never thought of that, but yes. But how in the name of all good are you able to sit so still? There was some head movement, but please, this is too funky to sit that focused.
Here is one for you. Not necessarily to do a video but I think you might like it. This is Prince at Hop Farm 2011. A concert I went to. The venue had had sound problems all day. Prince was 30 minutes late to the stage because they were trying to sort out the sound. As the crowd got restless, Prince came on. Played the first song. Kept the crowd engaged but also relayed feedback to the sound desk and fixed the sound within one song, in front of 50,000 people The second part was 20 minutes in. During Little Red Corvette that is the best call and response I have ever heard kzread.info/dash/bejne/lGak0saBlZmvXbg.htmlsi=lfei_K_ahpizBX3y
I love John Blackwell Jr. He was awesome
Ren just completed his first solo stage performance at Secret Garden Party. I was there and it was wonderful. His health is better after 18 months if treatment for autoimmunity and braun damage. His creative juices are flowing. A lot of things in the pipeline. Would love for you to react to What Kind of Woman is This . You are old enough to get all the covers i would imagine(Hendrx,Myddy Waters,Buddy Guy)
That was brilliant. Thank you. 🙂 Regarding unreleased Clare Fischer arrangements on Prince songs, here's one for New Position = kzread.info/dash/bejne/qKabo8SkgaiTfaQ.htmlsi=P_piKPjTYsHy11fN
I like to avoid bands that have unnecessary practices because the guys in the band want an excuse to get away from the wife and kids and hang out and drink beer.
That was superb ✌️🏴
His right hand technique is Django level. But to keep it flowing and fluid at that speed is mindblowing any stumble or hesitation or overstretching stands out like a sore thumb
lol! Quitting a band is soooooo different to each individual!
Next Wintersun TIME..🎉 kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZomB2a6xdrGxg5M.htmlsi=8ECKDCW5YUOKa_13
Not getting into the issues is exactly what breaks bands. I really feel that is some of the worst advice I have ever seen. Sorry, but when you have people sitting on bad feelings, not expressing them and letting them rot inside, that's what causes the drama, that's what causes the hostility. Getting into the issue is the true sign of respect, it's the sign that while potentially you don't want to be part of this band anymore, you still see that they could make it work provided they worked on some things.
The song in the medly is Proud Mary by CCR.
He obviously has fake hair... He was going bald on top in the 80s
You really need to upgrade your audio, wow it is garbage on play with my system, and yes I have a great system.
Yes. Michael Romeo. I hadn't thought about it until you mentioned it. Divide & Conquer riffage.
Are you good with playing hot rods in the tiny room? Yes! Shows up to gig without hot rods.
I did a version but dd it with respect kzread.info/dash/bejne/nKJ_tsyBlLiWqcY.html
In case you haven't seen THIS yet: kzread.info/dash/bejne/qoN7sNKAipe0obQ.html ( Also: Lovebites just dropped a new song / music video! "Unchained" ) 🤘🏼🐺🤘🏼
Just found you again….. very happy you’re active and wish you all the best…. signed : A past band member😊
i know you really cannot tell what the song structure is at all from this kind of video... i implore you... please watch ROman's guitar play through of this song without the vocals... the riffs are absolutely incredible when you can actually discern what they are

To the point! Great!
Brooo. It's Josh. Met you at Crappy Tire in Elliot Lake. Here I am. Just starting to watch it at this time 9:20 am July 29th, 2024. Found this one first. Granite. ❤ I'd have to say my fav. *(Sleep Token)*
Hi Josh! It was great meeting you guys on my only trip to Elliot Lake! I don’t see too many people around wearing Sleep Token shirts! 😊🎶🎸
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I love your honesty. I knew a lot of guys I could not get past his appearance and thought he was gay or whatever. I always tell people, even if they don’t like his own music to check out his live or obscure stuff. You really get an appreciation for how good performer and musician he was. I heard Gene Simmons saying an interview “We all knew how good he was” and he was making a reference to other musicians.
No Roy Buchanan?
Great reaction as per usual. I’ve always considered this song as organized chaos. FYI…Roman did a guitar playthrough for your listening enjoyment. 🍻🤘🏼
Pick up the guitar. Play it and get over yourself.
What you said is true. "Image" is important. Bands need a catchy name, and a recognizable image. Even PANTERA had an "Image". It was a "we don't give a F" image. 😆 Sadly, a lot of "musicians" have egos. Some of them are narcissists. We used to have an old saying, "lead singers disease". It was so hard to find a good lead singer that didn't have a huge ego. Lead guitar players and some drummers will also have big egos. Especially if they know they are really good. Bass and keyboard players seem to be the most chill of the group. Lead singers and lead guitar players believe they are "rock stars". A keyboard player thinks of himself as a "serious musician". Image and appearance is certainly important. Along with "stage presence" and good crowd interaction. This is why we are all blown-away by Lovebites. They are the complete package. They are doing everything the right way. Literally the only thing we could critique about Lovebites would be: they need to tour more, and play more shows! 😁 Lovebites has the luxury of not operating on their own. They have a pretty big team behind them. When bands start-out, they have no one helping them do anything. When they start to get a following, here come the corporate leeches with shady offers. It's a long way to the top, if you wanna rock N roll. Nearly all super successful bands go through line-up changes. It's very hard to get 4 or 5 people to agree on anything. Let alone, how to run a complicated business like a band. Once the money starts pouring-in... people get greedy. That's when the real trouble starts. They will become a victim of their own success. RUSH avoided this by agreeing right from the start that they would split all the profits equally. 33% for each member. Keep it simple.
👍🏽✌🏼🐷
the _Cloud Factory_ and _Inhale, Do Not Breathe_ albums have some lead/solo work , simple but tasteful ; 'tis when they had 2 guitarists. Roman _can_ shred when he wants to (which is rare) ; but he definitely has more "rhythm" sensibilities
Any band is only as good as the weakest member
Thank you for reacting to this. I'd never heard the live version before. The song is one of my favourites 💞
We're a hobby band. And that was always first in the discussion when bringing on new musicians. And yet, every month, it's "why aren't we gigging more?" And song selection. I. Hate.Selecting.New.Songs.
After years of gigging cover, original and tribute bands, I can honestly say the money is in tribute bands. Also I've gotten to play venues like House of Blues and the Whisky (Sunset Strip) in tribute bands.
Nice! thank you for your input. I find this topic very interesting. Keep up the great work!
Where's Taylor Swift? 😠🤣🤣🤣
Hey man, thanks for the shout out. Glad you liked the video. Subbed and love your tips. I agree with every tip!! Be pro learn your parts, yup all of it love it.. I’m going to do a 2nd video talking about same as what your talking about as I was mainly talking about bar bands. Tributes, corporate and weddings and private functions is the way to go nowadays!
❤
The other guitarist, Romain Axisa, has many good songs too. If you like, please react to his own song Time after Time (live at st Augustine’s chapel) ❤
A few months ago, Ren released "Fred Again Mash Up" live performance. Ren takes portions of 5 EDM tracks by Fred Again, and turns them into a moving acoustic piece. Wouldn't seem plausible, but it's Ren! I think you may enjoy it! He also released Back on 74/ Message in a Bottle medley - he plays his tele, but vocals are more the focus.
Yes please :)
Ditto☝️
Yes. Please react to the Fred Again Mashup.
From their last concert...This weekend Ren and Romain (here: the other guitar player) are playing at the Secret Garden Party Festival in England (Abbots Ripton, north of London?). If The Big Push start a reunion isn´t sure.
Brighton, not Bristol. Bristol is on the West Coast. Brighton's on the South Coast, south of London. :)
When someone stops it in the middle of Ren's incredible vocal performance, to talk about the crowd, you know he's not really listening...
This is superb. Thank you 👏
I'm in my first band and I've experienced all of those things with the fkn drummer. I don't know what it is, but the drummer, in my experience, has always been problematic. Every single one of them.
