nice!
6-16-24 I wish I knew this years ago. I turn 60 this year and this is going to be nice to prepare meals for my mother and I. Thanks.
Uhhh chicken what?! Lol
There's a trick to it! There has to be! I saw someone else do that. Me? I had scrape along the bone again. Must be the chicken.
Tq for sharing this video
Girl, you're outstanding, 1st timer, I really enjoyed your video. Very refreshing, that thigh trick is the booooom. Thanks again. Wade Out..
Never thought of deboning a chicken leg and making this unique yummy looking roast. Thank you
Do you have any tips for removing the drumstick bone when its not attached to the thigh?
I'm watching this in 2023... and it's very helpful
Interesting, and super helpful!
THANKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Don't forget to use the bones and scraps for stock. Break the thigh and drumstick bone before putting them in the stock pot to release the lovely marrow.
This video was awesome! 👍🏻 Thank you! 😊
Filet? It's a damn tenderloin
But you left the scallop.
Uploaded 11 years ago, and it will be couple more decades more. This is by far the best chicken leg deboning video on youtube.
Great demo! Kitchen shears also work.
What an opening line..
Wusthoff's knife ❤❤😍😍😍
Excellent. I was looking for how to debone the leg and thigh and found this. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
אני מצטערת לראות איך נוגעים ומטפלים בעוף מיד ליד כמו פלסטלינה. לא בא לי לאכול עוף יותר.
Brilliant-thanks sooo-- much!!
You're welcome!
That’s very clever! It’s simple and will look very fancy. It might also work very well with turkey
Best Karen I'ver ever known.
Thank you for info
My pleasure
I've got 10 lbs to debone, & am so glad I chose your video. I grew up on a farm & remember killing chickens in the fall with my siblings (we were young teens), then dunking them in boiling water to defeather them before singeing to remove the pinfeathers. We would process about 30-40 each year. This is perfect for my Korean Chicken recipe.
Excellent thank you. ⭐
You're very welcome
❤️
I watched this video reluctantly, being skeptical that I would not learn anything new. Boy was I surprised when I watched you twist the leg bone out. Great tip!
Thank you!
Oh my god, lady you blew my mind. First with the twisting of the drum, then the tying, the stuffing idea, the roasted results!! 😮yes, ordinary became extraordinary. I want to see the rest of that recipe! Impressed
super
Just tried it before i saw the video. Did one in 15 minutes. Gave up ,put the other ones in the oven and scraped of the meat when they were cooked. I am SO gonna try out what you showed here.
11 years later and you’re still helping folks! Thanks so much!
Happy to help!
02:43 Lmfao.... WHAT DID JUST WATCH!? Pulling that leg out, was almost "party trick" level...
That's the best deboned chicken leg I've seen so far 👌 koodoos
Thank you!
@@manitobachicken your most welcome keep up the good works 👍
This was awesome
Good Job
why cant we just use aluminum?
You can for sure! It just holds in more steam and moisture.
How much yogurt for marinade?
Hi Dar, link for full recipe can be found above. Recipe call for 11/2 cups plain yogurt.
From one chef to another 🤜🤛 great lesson thanks
makes me appreciate the workers who do this all day! butchering ain't easy!
You can also control the quality of chicken. I've been disappointed many times buying pre-made chicken wings for parties.
Wow excellent video and method !!
Very good video, but sadly after trying this on two legs I couldn’t remove the drumstick bone like you did, when I pop it the thigh bone pops out of its socket, not the drumstick bone, the drumstick bone stays stuck to the joint, I have to remove the thigh bone to reach the joint then separate the joint from the drumstick bone from inside to be able to pull the drumstick bone out. Maybe there is something different about my chickens or I am doing something wrong… like the drumstick bone is completely stuck to the joint, I tried applying force but I ended up shattering the drumstick bone 😅
Sorry you had difficulty with this.
@@manitobachicken I think I know why, the chicken farms here raise chickens in cages.. its very cruel and it seems when the chicken doesnt have enough space to move her legs the joint gets completely stuck to the bone. Our home grown roosters had nothing like this.
It surgically doesnt make sense, my chickens cant stand up if their joint is like this… this is terrible… i hope awareness is raised about animal cruelty here soon and people stop this madness.
That is called great video. Thanks a lot meam
What a fantastic and informative video. Thank you for sharing.
Now i know what to do with all my figs !!! I grew ten varieties of figs. This cooking video should come very handy in the near future !! 😊
Ummmmmmmm Ummmmmmmmm !!!! SAVORY !!! SCRUMPTIOUS !!! 😁
Thank You for taking the time to make this video. I have been buying chicken in quantity leg quarters and freezing them to save money but, this time I decided I wanted some boneless thighs and regular drumsticks out of some of the chicken. Of all things, I am the daughter of a professional meat cutter(aka local butcher)😆my dad would say WHAT? You have forgotten how to cut up a chicken?? Well,..if you don’t use it…you lose it. 😆 Your instructions were clear and precise and my leg quarters came right apart!!! 👍🏻
Thank you for your kind feedback. We appreciate it and we are glad you found our video helpful.
Looks delicious. Had this in Mexico and wanted to make it. Thanks for sharing.
Our pleasure!
