  Ultimate Pop's Rosin Kung Fu Elegant Excellence. Ditch the paper cup. Cut down the sides of any common 2 mil (0.002") shopping bag ( IMPORTANT !!! your choice of color), and open it out flat. Put your rosin on the bag with a generous area around it. Put the rosin in the pop's rosin container with the bag up around it and twist the bag a little. Using scissors snip most of the bag off about 1.5 to 2" above the container at the twist. Push the short twisted piece of bag down over the rosin to close the lid. DONE !!! When you use the rosin the bag will easily pull away and there will be a raised edge because the bag twist puts a dent in the middle.

  Nice explanation. You make the change with French bow slightly faster than you do with German bow. Do you play primarily French or German?

  Thanks great info! Just bought this rosin for my son from a local music store (they had no clue how to use the rosin either). I think our warm Queensland (Australia) weather is too much for the pops rosin - I can’t peel back the cup at all (the rosin just stretches with the paper) so I’m going to try popping it in the fridge to see if it firms up! 😂

  Very helpful video. Two questions - how did you create your "template" so it show on the other side (parents, students) who the email is from - and - when I'm at home using IC - the RELY TO EMAIL - fills with my teacher email from OUTLOOk. However, at school it will not allow to fill that field. There's a red ! mark alerting me that I cannot proceed. Not sure if it matters that I've created shortcuts on my desktop on both school and home computers. Thanks for any help and insight.

  Is the 3/4 press harmonic how to play most harmonics. Currently, I've just been lightly touching the string. Should I always use the 3/4 press?

  "3/4 press" is what I tell young students to help them get the idea. There are a lot of subtleties to getting harmonics to speak clearly. A lot of it has to with the bow. Speed, weight, and placement are critical. The amount of pressure you put into the string with your left hand is less important than placing it accurately.

  I will also follow my other comment by saying that context matters for pressure also. If you're doing something that's all harmonics - like tuning or that part of the Dragonetti Concerto - light pressure is fine and maybe best. If you're doing something where you're going back and forth between harmonics and pressed notes - like the D scale in this video - 3/4 press is better. It keeps the string closer to the fingerboard for better note transitions and helps keep your hand position stable.

  Went into a lot of detail about zooming in and out and then kind of skimmed over how to make seating charts with pictures. I know how to print them, but I don't know how to see their pictures in their seating charts in IC in general. Any other suggestions or another video that focuses on that by chance?

  The pictures are automatically populated into IC at the school system level where I work. They have some deal with the company that takes the yearbook pictures. I don't know if you can add pictures at the teacher level.

  The Bar Stool even works w/ the Berda (Bass Tamburitza) which according to some Sources can only be played Standing up. However it could also be played seated w/ a Bar Stool.
