I grew up in College Station, been here for 75 years, class of 70. never get tired of hearing the War Hymn. I get emotional when I hear the band crank it up! We lived close to campus and could hear the great Colonel E. V. Adams bands practicing.

I am a Canadian who went to Texas A & M and played for the Aggies as a defensive back. I was drafted by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League because I was designated as a Canadian and not an "import". I played 6 games, returning an interception for a touchdown, and broke my ankle never to play again. I will never forget the kindness love and sportsmanship of the people there. Best marching band ever, and the Ballad of the Green Beret brings tears to my eyes. 'Aggies do not lie, cheat or steal nor tolerate those that do' God bless you all. Forever in my heart. From your friends and neighbours up north. We have your back!

A fine band. Can someone identify the instrument that appears at the 1:35 mark? Is that an upright bell euphonium with a bell on the left?? I thought all upright bell euphoniums had their bell on the right. If these are not euphoniums, are they baritone horns? Please advise. Thanks.

This was years ago but I remember watching the Fightins Texaa Aggie band at halftime when they came in and played at OU. Almost everybody stayed in their seats to watch. But when they were done, if you had to go to tbe restroom or concession stand you wouldn't be back until the 4th qtr.
