they were all naturally very good actors but jake lloyd stood out the most and was perfect to where he was almost too good that i guess why some viewers were upset he seemed humbly larger than the movie yet perfectly confident as young anakin would've been- to me anyway! I've just now seen pictures of him throughout the years and he so many looks that he would always be a perfect actor and a true celebrity whether he goes back into acting or not; but it's probably best not to since acting isn't really living yet if he can have fun with it and avoid the usual pitfalls of hollywood demands. would be neat if they spin off a storyline to where he is the reincarnation of anakin because the later star wars were totally off to me. JAKE LLOYD could blockbuster STAR WARS Episode 11: The True Jedi Force Reborn. *may the true force of the universe make you anew and brand new, jake lloyd!!!!!

They took a great melody of an existing song and literally made a joke of it - but they joked so hard, people actually liked it, only because Aaron was so cute. I can only imagine how those producers crushed Aaron's soul the day they told him they made this song while laughing their behinds off and only took him seriously once he became famous.

Germany actually had laws prohibiting children from performing completely live on TV for their safety, but outside of Germany, likely simply because he was so young and no one trusted him to sing fully live, especially while dancing. Shortly after this video, when he went through his 'brand change' and cut his hair, he was finally allowed to sing live, starting on the All That Tour. There's near to non existent footage of the time unfortunately.

I wasn't living under a rock, I was living on a ship. I had no idea who this was until I saw House of Carters a few years after I got out of the military. Didn't know he was Nick Carter's brother, but I also didn't know he was Bieber before Bieber. I did see a CD of his(remember those?) in a music store(really aging myself now) and thought somebody moved it out of the kids' section lol.

I actually think Devin is my favorite and had the best audition. However i think George wanted young Anakin to be kinda happy despite living in terrible conditions. Jake fits that. Devin fits more of a young child who you could see a dark future sorts thing. Jake also fits better with the tone of the first movie.

The other blonde kid should've been Anakin, no hate on Llyod but he was not the right fit. Both Lucas and the casting director failed at their job. It was the facial expressions and the cutesy "idk the words"

Jake is a fine actor. But the casting was ridiculous. They should have cast the older Anakin first then found a kid who looked more like him...Jake and Hayden don't even look remotely similar. Or better yet cast Anakin for episode 1 as an older teenager while portraying someone 13/14 then let him age into the role for the rest of the series. Like...the same thing they did with Natalie and Ewan lol.

Why did he go with Jake over Devin... It makes no sense. Even seeing the drawings of Anakin, it looks like Devin. Intelligence, charisma, and earnestness was Devin. And Devin looks way more like Mark Hamill. George's gut feeling was wrong.
