Yoo, I live near here. I Fish the lake all the time 😊
That’s awesome! We caught some nice fish in there.
Spot. Not a croaker
All that gear could fit inside your packs lol
Super,Pozdrav,Munir,❤❤❤❤😂
What kind of bait are you using
Rooster Tail lure
Where in Canton is this nd?
It’s a private lake for Boy Scouts
@@BertsOutdoorAdventures thanks
Your very lucky dude, I use that exact bait and never caught a fish with it.
Perfect!
I’m so proud of Joey! 🎉 He looked REALLY nervous but he conquered it and made it to the bottom! Thank you for sharing this video, encouraging him and thank you the adult who helped him at the top giving him a pep talk!
hey man, new to fly fishing. what size leader would you recommend for this?
I was using 4lb test tippet leader. It's best to have a variety of different sizes though to match the size of fish you encounter. Good luck and have fun!
The good news is you caught a wild trout, which while small is usually more difficult and desirable than catching a stocked trout, most people would say. The bad news is you're not likely to catch many fish the way you're fishing. It's almost impossible to fish a dry fly downstream in a small stream the way you're fishing. You want to be fishing upstream. For one reason the trout will be less likely to see you coming (they face upstream). For another you'll be more likely to get a natural drift with your fly. Cast it upstream, let it float naturally with the current back downstream.
Thank you for the advice. I've had a bunch of people tell me the same thing and plan on working upstream in the future. I appreciate the advice.
How old is this video?
It was roughly 2 years ago.
@@BertsOutdoorAdventures I thought so. For a second I thought they tore up the new paved pump track and went back to the old dirt one.
Not only we have trout but we have alot of alligators kid an there hungry your nex
LOL
I would not have my hand in that water
It’s a beautiful spring fed lake. Only reason that Trout can survive in Florida is the colder water temperatures from the springs.
When I saw 'Florida', I was expecting the kid to get nailed by a giant tarpon lol
LOL, yeah it looks like a Tarpon could be getting fed.
I went there yesterday and uploaded my own recording of it. No place in Florida has impressed me more than this place. It’s even more beautiful than Bok Tower Gardens.
Awesome! Yeah it’s a hidden gem for sure.
It looks like there are string lights throughout the park. Was the park open and lit up after dark when this was filmed?
They were stringing up lights for Christmas, but we were not there late enough to see them.
‘Cool kid’
Thanks for posting.
sick spot bud. a friendly tip that helped me progress more this year than the previous 5. take your mtb and race bmx tracks. they gave us a series of our own. it will help more than the pump track with cornering and jumping and pumping
Looks breathtaking!!!! WOWZA-
Worth the drive if you guys are looking for a day trip.
They work yeah. But stop calling it a fly. It's not a fly
Not even close to being done
This was halfway done. Turned out excellent.

Nice video but what you have there is a Brown Trout.
I was convinced it was a Brook Trout they look so similar.. Thanks for letting me know. Rookie mistake 😬
I’ve updated my headline, description and thumbnail to be accurate. Thanks again for the clarification.

The mini trout magnet has a 1/200 oz jig perfect for fly rodding All in all great outcome, tight lines!
Yeah, I was struggling with everything I tried the day before and the guy that gave me the magnet turned things around for me for sure!
I would run too.

Really ?
This place looks familiar, is it camp Miranda in the north country at philmont scout ranch in Cimarron New Mexico? It was my favorite camp, and that cabin is beautiful looking over the meadow!
Yes it is, good eye! Beautiful place for sure..
Bert - so good! The music reminds me of the The Nature Company store in the Avenues Mall, haha! I could fall asleep to this soundtrack :)
