  Nice improvement. Remember not to jump when going off of the ramp at 0:33 (and 1:02). That's a super turbo pad that gives you USF. The landing boost you get when you jump will cancel your USF, but if you just ride over it you get to enjoy the high speed until your reserves run out. It saves a massive amount of time. The better you do at stacking reserves by getting good slide boosts before you hit the pad, the longer it will last.

  Thank you! That is a clear explanaiton of a thing I was barely aware of, good job! need to do my homework on SF/USF and reserves and how to keep em. As much as tempting it is to get a modded copy with a reserve bar - i will go with a harder approach - learning the feel for it as it is. Thanks again for a good explanaition of how it works!

  Also in that 0:33 bit, right before the turbo tunnel, ive noticed that jumping gives an advantage on oxide, BUT - its temporary because he keeps his reserves, and i have to build them from 0, so naturally he overtakes because of larger turbo pool

  @@WSADKO Building reserves is not really a problem leading up to the super turbo pad in Oxide Station. The trick is not losing them because of the tight curves right before the pad. As long as you can hit that, you can easily ride USF up to the next turbo pad, and from there you can just use the shortcut to the left to skip the outer space section. Also the main thing about building reserves is to just always have that boost bar as full as possible unless you have some reason (like cornering) to cut them short. Turbo pads and hang time turbos do give you a little reserves but nearly as much as slide boosts do. 2 full-bar slide boosts is also worth more reserves than 3 half-full ones

  @@aliengenie8896 yeah, just watched some vid on USF and reserves and a difference between short boost and a long one is almost a second. Problem is - short ones tend to steer you to a side, longer ones - propell you forward more a little bit, so ive been using boost gauge to steer myself when needed. naturally - it drains reserves, so ive gotta rethink my path on most of the maps.

  maybe your ghost was faster because on previous trial you competed with ntropy and he's also a speed-type character so you had clear point of reference while oxyde is a more turning-type which confused you

  game detects which second you pass the finish line, ghost is just a representation of where dev was when he was playing as the oxide, which could be inaccurate. you'd be surprised how passable some of the trials are because of this
