Hello Hugh! My name is Glenn Williams. I used to live in Philly and I remember stopping in Cunningham Piano store a few years back and asking, "Where have I seen you before?" You just smiled and waited for me to figure it out. Finally it came to me. I watch a lot of KZread videos but never imagined that you were right up I-76 in King of Prussia. Eventually I moved to Connecticut. (Of course I brought my Yamaha cvp 609 with me)! I'm glad to see that you are still making helpful videos - especially videos that give instructions on the versatility of the Yamaha Clavanova. The 809 doesn't seem to be much different than my 609. You are still doing a GREAT JOB! Thank you for sharing you knowledge. Please keep up the good work!!

On upright pianos the “una corda” still has the hammer hit all the keys it just moves the hammers closer so you can’t generate as much force. It’s cool you will see all your keys depress about halfway down.

The sound of that Petrof upright reminds me of an old upright Pleyel. Warm caressing sound.

Mada, amazing performance of a composition new to my ears, on a piano that is fully responsive it seems.

I tested scores of pianos and came to the conclusion that Petrof makes the best sounding baby grands (if that’s the right term for sub 6 foot) today. Not sure what their magic is, but it’s plainly obvious when you play them head to head with Yamaha, Kawai, even Steinway. Over 6’ it’s a different story but for a “house sized” piano seems like you couldn’t go wrong with Petrof.

Hi Hugh, Thanks for a great tutorial video on the CVP809. Is this the best way to learn the instrument rather than conventional piano lessons? I would appreciate your advice. Thanks again. David
