Actually guys, the ports at the side were for the bellows. The slag came off an upper and pig iron off a lower port in the front.

An open letter to the state of Virginia. In accredited education in the United States of America, nobody that’s an American citizen and have some mind and sensitivity goes to a Virginia school without prior knowledge of what an advantage it might be to go through their disadvantage. The United States was put together successfully in the absence of everything Virginia could be. It does not take a substantial degree or citizen to recognize that Virginia is “a horse of a different color” in a population that is never fit the American agenda for anything today, yesterday tomorrow or forever. The year is 2024, not 1776. Virginia has absolutely nothing to do with freedom and remains a prison state today. Virginia is no good for love or money. What’s the synthetic advantage of getting near it in family, business, Law, literature, medicine, politics, history, or military.

some young adults from LCBC church and I went fishing by Codorus Furnace at the susquehanna river. ➖We drove a short distance away to another fishing spot. I decided to explore on my own and found a waterway. The waterway was not running but had pools of oddly colored still water. I found a tunnel and got the rest of the group to come along and explore it. Once through the tunnel, there was a few unidentified, abandoned buildings of the bank over the waterway. One of them had a long pipe overhanging the bank. I suspect that some sort of toxic waste once came out of the pipe. The water had a suspicious scent to it, and the pools had been colored light green with a whitish film over it. There was no life in these pools. All the creatures in the pool were dead, including slugs, worms, and a frog. The bottom of the pools was covered in a blanket of weird black and white dead Algae. I couldn't find any info about this place online. tunnel coordinates: 40.070734, -76.673492 (see my latest vid)

I do a lot of work to homes in Edinburgh, Scotland dating from 200 years ago. Exactly the same construction, except the lath is much smaller / thinner. I wonder if it come down to different timber species between UK and North America

I was wondering why someone would build a train station on James Madison’s property in the 1920’s - and apparently this man William du Pont (of the famous du Pont family) was put in charge of a large section of the Wilmington and Delaware railroad and basically built this train station for himself so he could travel to and from work. Amazing. So rich he bought the former presidents home (plantation) and built himself a train station. And it stands as an amazing and stark reminder of that horrible policy of forced separation.
