S4C fixed the minor issue with the logo on the bottom right. It was not smooth as the 4 logo can sometimes get exposed.

IMHO, no. The worst eras came afterwards. The 'generic' school day with four squares at the end with 4Learning. And then C4's final schools presentation if you can call it that, with Banksy inspired street art coming to life as a male teenager and female teenager walked down London streets. THEY were the worst eras. Lazy and the latter, politically motivated.

Channel 4 differs from that start up, they take away 20 seconds of the clock due to a needed advert break before schools programmes start. S4C were exempt.

The final music 🎵 🎧 🎶 reminds me of Keith Robert Ernest Hall who went to Chelfham Senior School 🏫 who is born on Wednesday 27th September 1978. I honestly used to wind up ⬆️ Keith Hall that he says “No I did not”. I think 🤔 that if Samantha Randell Franklin sees me picking on Keith Hall, she’ll probably say to me “Leave him alone” to my face is because she probably would stick up ⬆️ for Keith Hall. I remember ITV Schools 🏫. 👍

I used to hate how none of the other kids cared about this bit and all joined in singing on the "just a minute" bit. This was always the far more interesting tune.

There was in an article in Smash Hits, if I remember correctly, which I do, when "Because We Want To" was released. It mentioned her early television appearance in the Channel 4 Schools graphics. The kids in the sequences were all from the Sylvia Young Theatre School to the best of my knowledge.

I did not know that Rat - A Tat-Tat was recorded at Teddington Studios which was home to Thames Television . God knows what would have happen if Thames Television did carry on broadcasting from January 1993. Rat-A Tat-Tat could have been made by Thames Television instead of Poseldon Film Distributors . and i'm guessing that Rat-A-Tat-Tat was Filmed and recorded during Spring 1993 when Thames TV were nolonger broadcasting ?

Even Strike it Lucky was filmed for 28 more episodes, including 2 Xmas specials for the 1993 and the 1994 series.

Not some, all the pictures were. Because they were from a school in Wales. S4C were all about all things Welsh which why they showed them. The full version lasts about 6 minutes.

I may have resented my time at school (from Year 3 onwards) and almost everything to do with school rubbed me the wrong way, but being a resident of the south east of England, this S4C schools clockwork dragon timer is fascinating!

Sky Digital satellite dish my friend! Prior to that, Virgin media, prior to that, Telewest and prior to that, Cable television. And prior to that, I was also close enough to get a good analogue signal on a clear day from the nearest transmitter tower!!

@@tvschools7860 I went to college in Swindon, and although I only found it once, I did pick up S4C once, I really should’ve tried to pick it up again and save it, maybe to channel number 6!

@@adultmoshifan87I live in Liverpool and Wrirral has no mountains so there was nothing blocking the signal (apart from the weather!) I was also located high enough to get a good signal! I could even get Central Television during the summer months, albeit a very bad signal! S4C used to be on channel 44 during the days of Cable but they got rid of it in summer 1996. Probably not enough speakers here. That was annoying!

@@tvschools7860 Did you used to get BBC One Wales, BBC Two Wales and ITV Cymru Wales aka HTV Wales in your home town ? when i stay at a hotel in Blackpool. On Freeview the DTT signal pick up the BBC in the North West , ITV in the North West and The lsle of man and also the DTT signal at the hotel also pick up BBC in Wales and ITV in Wales and the signal is strong

This is the ONLY Channel 4 schools show I know we were shown in primary school! I do remember Fourways Farm but I don’t recall if I watched that one at school or just at home. In my first few years of school, we were show an array of BBC Schools shows including Number Time, Words and Pictures, Storytime and Come Outside, but I only recall them showing us one ITV Schools show: Math is Fun. We were also shown Aussie kids show Lift Off! a few times! In juniors, I only recall 3 schools shows being shown, all from the BBC: Zig Zag (both 80s and 90s episodes), Earth Warp and Through The Dragon’s Eye. I didn’t even know of Megamath until I saw it in the listings for the CBBC channel shortly after its launch in 2002 (Skyguide is a godsend!) and I didn’t even know of Geordie Racer until recently!

I think Channel 4 Schools has made programmes... unmemorable. This is absolutely awkward. Rat a tat tat would get popular as it progresses but this is not it.
