  A very useful video :), shame that all the M4s sound shit! The M140i/240i's sound much better! I don't get how they can make a straight 6 sound so bad! 🙁

  I can’t believe this kid didn’t warm up the car for at least 10 minutes before doing this test. 1) you’re harming the engine by revving the cold motor 2) you’re not getting a realistic sound because the pipes haven’t been warmed up and the oil is still in the bottom of the sump. You are essentially revving metal.

  hey buddy, i have the m performance exhaust and you should've waited a bit longer . It takes about a minute of 2 to hear the burbles and cracks.

  Hi I have an M2 with stock exhaust. Figuring if I should upgrade to the MPE??? I have been offered a good price for it and considering to change. Is it worth it? Cant really appreciate in video. I guess I wont regret it right?

  That 430i exhaust is definitely not stock. I have a 430i with downpipe and it doesn't sound as nice

  The only thing stopping me buying an M3 or M4 comp is the exhaust note. I'm sorry but if you live in a quiet area and you sometimes set off for work at 5am then it just isn't an acceptable car.

  When you drive the car in efficient mode, there is almost no outside exhaust note. I daily drive this car and it’s acceptable for corporate environment provided you’re not activating M1 or M2 mode, which opens the valve.

  Hey Matt, I just picked up my 550, took your advice instead of paying 6-7K on aftermarket Exhaust I deleted both resonators.. I have 2 questions mate. 1. When I unplugged my valves on the rear pipes the things just closed, they did the opposite to what they did for you, they stayed shut. So I plugged them back in, I have loud and quiet now so I suppose that’s ok. 2. Do you think you lost much down low boost though this mod? I reckon off the bottom she’s lost a bit, it doesn’t spool up as quickly?? Is that what you felt mate?? Cheers from Australia!! I look forward to hearing your take on this Matt. Marcus.

  Hi Marcus, congrats on the car. When I unplugged my baffles I made sure the car was in sport plus, blip the throttle, and unplug the cables while the car is running. Then they won't shut again. I didn't notice any power lost as the car always opens the baffles once you give it throttle. This mod is mainly to give the car a louder cold start. Hope this helps! feel free to ask any questions.

  They all need to be warmed up for like 15 minutes first before doing the tests, especially with the MPE.

  Umm, the cold start is way louder than once it warms up actually. Also, the middle car doesn't look to be a competition package, no 666 wheels

  Can someone please explain to me what this means. So there’s a stock bmw m4 normal exhaust. A bmw m4 competition with a competition exhaust and a bmw m4 competition with an m performance exhaust which costs a bit more? Is that correct?

  Sounds beasty 😈😤💪🏽 but NEVER rev your car on a cold start bro, it’s bad for the spark plugs and fuel injectors. Just wait till rpms drop as low as possible, that’s how you know she’s ready to go✊🏽💯
