Hey, I'm Hayden; I am a freelance Digital Artist, Illustrator and Composer!
I create covers, arrangements and suites based on film/tv/game soundtracks - but primarily #DoctorWho!
For enquiries: whovivortex.carrd.co/
pfp: runmonsterun-blog.tumblr.com/
FAQ:
- Can I use your music?
My arrangements/covers are always free to use in your work, just be sure to credit myself and the appropriate artist/composer(s) I'm covering - and feel free to share your work with me!
- What do you use to make your covers?
I write by ear to MIDI in my DAW, and arrange/mix using sample libraries. I use FL Studio, and samples from Spitfire Audio/Soundiron/East West Sounds/Performance Samples and numerous freebies (Pianobook, Decent Sampler).
- Can you cover my request?
I can't promise anything alas, even if it's a track from a planned suite... but I'll try!
- Can you supply .mp3s/individual tracks for download?
Perhaps in the future, but currently only on special occasion - sorry!

I Love-Love-Love it
HOLY shit this is actually incredible, some of your best work yet! 🔥
WhoviVortex is a genius. Do you get it? Do you get-get-get it?
You know it, faith gyyyyallll
11:35 absolutely beautiful, found my favorite cover of my favorite DW music.
Thank you! There's a few more covers of Ruby's theme on my channel, and many more to come :)
18:53 this part of non-diegetic would be my theme if I was the doctor
I love the music
Awesome artwork
amazing
I love the little riff of the 11th doctor's theme at 13:32! and then Capaldi's at 13:52. Murray isn't holding back with leitmotif referencing anymore.
The problem with the BBC not releasing the soundtracks quickly enough is that channels like this release covers, I fall in love with the covers, and by the time the official soundtrack comes out, there's something about it that doesn't feel right because I consider the cover the original. It happened with The Shepherd's Boy (or as I'll always refer to it: "Breaking The Wall"), took a really long time to feel like the released version was the correct one. I'm gonna have an ever harder time reconciling the Series 14 soundtrack. That's how good your covers are! I can already feel myself falling in love with these versions! I will consider these the originals.
I love this so much, the only thing more i could wish for from this episode would be an arrangement of there's always a twist at the end. Love the work you're doing, keep it up; I can't wait to see what else you'll make
That whole just wait till daddy gets home piece makes me so filled with joy I love it!
The Villengard Corporation thanks you for your service, WhoviVortex. Thoughts and Prayers 🙏
Here it is, they’re dropping one by one! So so good!
Hey this is pretty awesome sauce epic times! Keep up the coolio work friendo!
next up, dot and bubble! also question.. what music software do u use to make these musics-?
I use FL Studio and a mix of samples from the likes of Spitfire Audio, East West, Soundiron, Performance Samples and many freebies (Pianobook, Decent Sampler, Spitfire Labs) :) And 73 Yards is next ;)
@@WhoviVortex that was a weird... episode. but i do have an idea tto expand it in my projecvts! whihc i am very exitced to do. also wow. sl studios-? iwhihc ones-? im new to sl studios not gnna lie. i usually use mixcraft
The quality of these videos and the music is just superb! The best there is on the internet for Doctor Who music covers! Thank you!!!
WHAT!?! THAT WAS SO FAST!!!! HOW DID YOU DO THIS SO SOON AFTER THE DEVILS CHORD???
Coffee and contemplation 🙏
I seriously love the reprise of “It Changed” in Boom, that’s one of my favourite pieces from Gold’s new music
I'm not familiar with the reference? Could you elaborate? I love to tie all the music together
@@thefilmmusicaficionado7937 They're referring to the TARDIS reveal music from The Star Beast when 14 says 'it changed!' - it reprises here in Boom with 'Just Wait Till Daddy Gets Home'
Splendid ❤
Everything is possible. Everything is possible! Everywhere is a beach eventually... 💥 What was intended to be a short medley turned into a really fun collaboration with my musical accomplice @VortexProd - please give him a hand for his incredible work on some of these tracks! Special thanks once again to the amazing artists involved (Dani, Soundsmyth, Owen, Joe, Rafe, Shay and Arbrax - check them out in the description), and for all the support on 'The Devil's Chord' earlier in the week... More to come! 🛣𝟳𝟯🧍♀
Fine Ill watch The Giggle again
God I love the deranged tune in "daddy was so mean" when maestro takes over the tardis
Love the tecteun bit in 'My granddaughter'
Your thumbnails/artworks are so incredibly beautiful! :D
@@eriksonoliveiraiii1605 Thanks! I owe a lot of them to the amazing artists in the description ( SoundsmythProd, Rafeski_, Arbrax, Cook11Joseph, ShayProd, Owen_Ruthven and Dani_WSDK for this one! )
This must've been fun. The music episode! Excellent work
you're amazing and this one of your best works, never stop doing these
🙏 Anything specific you’d like to hear from the rest of the season?
@@WhoviVortex Boom definitely has one of my favourite soundtracks, with the track at the end as the landmine is about to detonate, the start of that is my favourite and I hope you can extend that part of it like you have for these songs
@@WhoviVortex And every song in Rogue is amazing I hope you do a full suite for that, especially the song that plays whilst the Doctor and Rogue are dancing
'a hidden song' is by far my faviroute part of this I wish it were longer
That this is gallifrey is beeeeeutiful!
fabuluse!
ANOTHER incredible release, I don't know how you do it. I will be listening on REPEAT 😌
Hey Josh didn't know you listened to these too!
20:00 I was so sure Ruby was the child of the trickster when i heard the hidden song. It sounds so much like the non-diagetic motif from SJA. RTD SOOO missed a trick here
I have wanted a clean version &/or cover of the piece starting at 7:00 for more than half my life. Thank you SOO much! With the BBC never releasing S10 and the earlier soundtracks being so limited, i heavily rely on people like you. You deserve far more attention!
🙏🙏🙏
Thank you for uploading this! I was waiting ages for The Lost Chord theme. Absolutely love it! 🙌🙌
can you do the title sequence too pls
🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨
7:17 This took me off guard
legit took me back to Last of the Time Lords!
these graphics are impeccable that makes me want to give up content creating 😭😭
never give up!!!
@@WhoviVortex who needs other KZreadrs when we have you 😀🥹
Im always astounded by your work. I love Murray, he is the true Maestro... but where are the official soundtracks?? You are beyond incredible for how you recreate these pieces, and truly, with headphones on, these are mind blowing recreations with such care put into the sound. Even if Murray did release officials soundtracks, your work shouldnt be ignored, as the effort you put into these are amazing, and I even love the creative liberties like Including the unreleased music from 2007
Oh wow. This is incredible!
These suites are so well done!!!
I literally looked this up the other day and it didn't exist - thank you for making it!
Love this! 😊😊
So in awe of your incredible work, bravo as always 🎉
And that ending is fantastic, really reminds me of interstellar. Not too familiar with the process but would love to know how the tension of strings is created.
@@nuttyhuttyThank you! The tension is created really by stacking layers; with that one I had the chord building much like it does in the episode, with the climax instead featuring octaves with ‘E’ and ‘D’ together, which are tightly next to each other in pitch so create a conflicting harmony without sounding too sharp. They’re also performed as a tremolo, which makes the strings sound extra tense and vibrating. Hope that makes sense, haha
Love this! Especially love the inclusion of the master's death music!
Come Empire of death with the memory TARDIS, mad man with a box?
I hope youll do Dot anf Bubble i lovw their retro soundtrack but no one extract dot and bubbles music TwT
@@BuppyBabsTag I’ll definitely try! Are there any specific music cues you’d like to hear from that episode?
@@WhoviVortexthere’s a nice rendition of Ruby’s theme that play when she first speaks to Lindy. It’s extremely subtle but.
I keep gettin censord!@@WhoviVortex
@@WhoviVortexI would love to hear the morning routine theme that plays in the beginning of the episode!
@@BuppyBabsTag Weird! Feel free to contact me through my socials if KZread keeps being finnicky
Simply amazing! Love the full piano theme
Hi there! We are currently in the process of making a film named Limbo’d, a Trickster story, would you mind if we featured your version of ‘A hidden song’? We would of course credit you for production of the piece. Many thanks :) Dan at SJADaily
Go for it Dan! My music nerd brain is telling me to note that piece doesn't *actually* feature the Trickster's theme (sorry, internet theories), just similar notes, but you're welcome to use it :) 'The Pantheon' track in this suite does feature the Trickster's theme (by creative choice), in case that's of use! Thanks!
