I do prefer corruption over crimson but i always pick crimson just because the ichor debuff is stronger and the life regen that the armor gives is a lifesaver
@@Leandrov777 cursed flames were buffed to deal the same amount of damage ichor would or more depending on certain bosses, plus the movement speed and acceleration helps dodging in a pinch
wdym vampire knifes are overrated 😭😭😭 sure... the scourge has exceptional performance and is a very good weapon, but vampire knives' healing is insane (dont tell me "umm just dodge, lol skill issue" when you barely need to dodge with vampire knives). ik im gushing too much on vampire knives but you'll probably put away soc and vampire knives anyways for the daybreak and/or s. eruption in a matter of time
@handyes42 on master and legendary vampire knives don't help as much, however I was very jokey if you couldn't tell, I play mage and ranger anyway lol
@@SpiffyEaterOfWorlds i'd argue that it helps more for master mode (you take WAY more damage = more uses for vampire knives), i do not know about legendary mode though. also yeah i couldn't tell you were joking sorry haha

I only ever use corruption because crimson has like wall climber thingies that scare the shlip out of me when I see them. I don’t care that the items are better, corruption doesn’t make me piss my pants when I want to play. Also ourple :)

Both the blood butcherer and lights bane were buffed which pretty much made them equal
I will say I grew up with terraria when it first came out and that’s why I wholeheartedly prefer the corruption however I gotta say that I don’t understand how “the crimson is easier!” Is a good reason for it being better because it just means you’re going to be there for less time. It also implies that you don’t even enjoy going there and just looking to get it over with.
dude i remember playing terraria when i was like 11 and building my base in the corruption biome because of how much i loved the biome and the armor, this sir here, spiffyeaterofworlds has just spoken lots of facts!

I understand that there are a lot of mixed feelings about those chasms half the fanbase love em, whereas another half dislike them, grapples, jump boosts and the flying carpet make them a breeze

Crimson is objectively better, you can make a fake biome to get everything. The one exception is that biome mimics require the world evil to be the same as them and flesh Knuckles are op af!
Flesh knuckles are only good in multilayer or for the melee class so it's subjectively better as for melee players the crimson benefits them alot, the defence reduction from ichor can be made up with the debuff damage of cursed flames

also ichor and cursed flame are easily both available on the same world
@jackbarnhart7394 drunk world exist for both most of this video was a joke but both are pretty equal other than for certain classes, just corruption looks spiffier which means we'll dressed or good looking, and fishron gets easy to dodge if you memorise his patterns

As a person who exclusively plays in master mode or extremely hard modded difficulties, I can say one of the first things I grind for is the ancient shadow set. It's amazing to get what is practically a post-world evil boss armor set pre-boss. It's also great since at that stage I haven't gotten a dash or mobility accessories in general.
Makes perfect sense the movement boosts are great
I like the corruption items more (except gold shower because it's just cool) but I like the "belly of the beast" way that crimson caves generate.

corruption is more toxic or corrupt while crimson is more alive and malicious it feels like corruption doesnt even care you're there while crimson feels like its actively trying to kill you in the end its just a question of the vibe ur going for i prefer corrupt cuz i prefer purple over red but i like the concept of crimson as much if not more than corruption
I wouldn't say toxic, the crimson has a lot more unique enemies whereas the corruption overwhelms you with 2 in prehardmode, I love both biomes and I joked alot throughout
