  @@Geo613sdepends on the company, smaller companies still use them pretty heavily and some larger ones as spares. WM has been trying to get rid of them as fast as possible but they can only get rid of them once they break and some just won’t quit and keep chuggin along

  Gotta love these hard working guys, especially when they are working with some heavy, wet restaurant trash. I assume they run a Dirty MRF system... Given the combination of blue/ clear bags with the black ones... Nice work!

  It all gets landfilled. Way too contaminated to try to sort through it all. Cardboard is the only profitable recycling there since it’s easy to keep clean. Philly and Pittsburgh landfill most commercial recycle too besides cardboard.

  Loving the New York content. I still think the private haulers are under-filmed there. Sounds like these guys have a pretty exhausting schedule. I can’t imagine trying to sleep through the daylight and trying to stay up and work a long night shift. Much respect for the private guys, working so hard with little recognition

  I remember these OG Trucks from seeing a ad back in the day from when i was younger. these were used as advertisements when wm was a bit smaller than what they are today. i think these are 2005s, crazy how they stuck around

  @@ericp.1508 there is no where else to put it. There is very little storage space on these trucks. My guess is the things on the floor of things that he saw that people were throwing away that he thought he could use.
