Hi there! My name is Yami and I am your Latina Next Door! If you have a passion for home decor and love saving money by tackling projects yourself, then you're in the right place. Together with my husband, The Latino Engineer, I share how I customize and decorate my home throughout the year. No project is too big or too small.

We just purchased a 19 acre homestead and will be documenting the entire build of our forever home from start to finish. We can't wait to share the journey with you and hope to inspire you to take a hold of your spouse by the hand and together build the home you always hoped for.
