    I love my 07 gt bought it with 10,900miles in 2019. It was in perfect condition 4yrs later im at 34,000 miles have had 2 issues the door panels did start to sag, and sometimes when i fuel up the pump will not let me fuel up without holding the handle pump and even then sometimes it wont let me fuel beyond that. Anyone know why that is?but besides that its been a great car.

  • @carsofdavis
    @carsofdavis8 ай бұрын

    For the fuel pump, try fueling upside down for a temporary fix. Door cards sagging is a common issue, easiest fix is to remove and glue the back.

    interesting comment on the iridium plugs. That's what I just installed and it runs like new. Before buying mine, I noticed how people who drive spiritedly and track their cars also use iridium plugs for their performance & consistency and love them. edit : just thought of something; NGK is among the most counterfeited spark plugs on the market. It could be you bought fake iridium plugs to have had a bad experience.

    Good video. Real life, but I'm sorry to say you missed an important step. You Must Always crack the fill nut First when changing Transmission and Diff fluids. If you drain the oils and then can't fill due to a seized bolt you are in trouble. You'll need a tow to the shop.

    dude, poor mileage ??? I get 22.5 on average. I haven't spent a dime on mine with the usual maintenance being the exception. You pretty much bought a fairly worn car and anticipated it would be like new, not gonna happen. Yeah, I was young and dumb once too.....lol

    Excellent Video; however, I had trouble finding info on Automatic Transmission fluid changes (especially for 2006-2009 Miata NCs). On the Manual Trans. there are Fill and Drain bolt (top-Bottom 23mm and 24mm) BUT on an Automatic Transmission there is a 24mm Top fill bolt (on the side) and a regular Transmission Pan drain plug "under" the transmission with a 9/16 bolt. Also the Side Top Fill bolt has a "rubber" washer gasket (NOT a crush washer) so just snug it to keep it drain coming out (wouldn't torque it hard). My 2007 Car Manual calls for JWS-3309 Trans fluid and I found three types on EBAY/Amazon...Mazda Fluid, Aisin ATF-OT4 and Idemitsu ATF Type M. Also the Automatic Transmission takes three and 1/2 quarts to fill. The rear Differential has two bolts 23mm fill and 24mm drain (both with crush washers and torqued to 25-33 ft lbs). I used Redline 75w90 gear oil..took less than 1 quart.

    I appreciate the young man's comments, however, none of the things that he is stating are common problems are all that common. The only issue that I know to be common is the door panel. Mine was the same, I bought a spray can of contact cement taped it of and spray both the panel and the fabric. It took about a half hour and is good as new now. One thing I agree with him about is the sound of the exhaust on a 3 valve is second to none from the factory. Sure you can upgrade anything to get pretty remarkable exhaust notes but from the factory I like the 4.6.
