Again, so far so good with this event. I am PLEASANTLY pleased with how Absolute Power is going, I really thought this was gonna crash and burn but I'm having lots of fun.
I like that one of the henchman tried to tell any of Batman’s Rogue Gallery about him knowing his secret identity before his son told him that Batman saved his life and tells him to be better. I also like that the henchman decided to keep Bruce’s Batman identity a secret, with Bruce setting up a new identity for him in Metropolis to make sure that he’ll live a good life, before Bruce promised him to protect his son from harm. Overall, this is a good and interesting comic. For the Absolute Power back up, I like that Bruce learned what Waller is doing and teamed up with the JLA’s Clark, Diana, and Barry to plan a heist with Selina’s help. Overall, this comic is interesting.

Great video and review! Absolute Power is further proof that Mark Waid is hands down THE greatest writer in the superhero genre of comics. Periodt. (Anyone want to argue that, I've got time today to show you how wrong you are to think differently) Absolute Power is a gounded earthbound event that isn't using the multiverse or time travel to have the gravest stakes for the heroes and for the danger and conflict be massive and terrifying. It's the first crossover event ever where Batman being front and center to the events resolution over any other character makes absolute sense other than editorial mandate and sales figures. Absolute Power, aside from being a bombastic summer blockbuster, is a perfect meta-morality tale for the US election cycle. Yes, it is completely political and yes it's still an amazing superhero story with only 2 issues out so far. Unlike the last big (great?) political superhero event, Marvel's Civil War, it's doing an incredible job of showing both sides of the political argument. And I dont mean, heroes versus the world, I mean conservative and liberal. It does this by just showing the terrible extremes of both sides and how they're exactly alike. But their represented by Waller and Green Arrow. I hope there is no way out for either. No mind control or going undercover reveal at the end for Arrow and no Earth 3 or alternate possession reveal for Waller. AP fits their actual characters of a sociopathic cowardly megalomaniac and virtue signalling narcissistic hypocrite. Absolute Power looks to become the story arc/event fans are going to want in live action movies in the future. Pay attention, Gunn!

Yeah I have a sneaking suspicion Jon is basically screwed and is going to be now a cyborg permanently and now tortured by Amanda Waller which is kind of ironic because he was first tortured by Ultraman and now this by Waller psychological he should be damaged beyond repair at this point but that's just my opinion.
Hi Fortress of Solitude, Great video about Absolute Power#1"Powerless" /In-Depth Review, keep them coming, Also your latest video was outstanding, Also I for one agree with you Fortress of Solitude, but i also agree with Super Pr guru This has to lead to the exposure Downfall and also Death of Amanda Waller because I can't see her going to jail with the influence, Resources and dirt she still got on Everyone. Also The Review for Absolute Power(mini-series)#1(of)4(November,2024) was incredible, Also Dan Mora is property paid for his Amazing artwork. Also i agree with both you and Josh I too like that members of the entrie Superhero Community their friends Families Allies loved ones and supporters and very soon the people and the public the Government and the Authorities all finally learned what Waller is doing, such as using AI(Artificial Intelligence) to trick and decivie the public into hating Superheros, making deals with people and Bad Guys(1.Dr. Hate,2. Trigon the Terrible,3.Thaaros, 4. Sovereign,5. Brainiac,6.Zen-arh-Urh,7. Vandal Savage, 8.Council of Light/House of Brainiac) to trap all of the heroes in the main earth, and making a public and stupid speech to depower or should I say Temporarily depower the entrie superhero Community with no way out until September and until both the Truth and proof of the Entrie Superhero Community's innocence are finally revealed in September of this year, Also Mark Waid has done an excellent job in countinuing Dawn of DC storylines and having a cohesive continuity for its shared universe. Dane thing with Dan Mora, who has done excellent but also Superb artwork for the JLA, JLI, JSA, Titans, Doom Patrol, Legion of Super-Heroes, and others. Overall this Comic is great. Also Let's hope that later issues of the main series will result in the Bureau of Sovereignty(Amazos,2.Failsafe,3.Brainiac Queen, 4.Sargeant Steel, Dreamer, Green Arrow or should I say Oilver, Suicide Squad Dream Team, Commander Steel and others The People The Public the Authorities and Others) will not only learn the truth not only betray Waller but finally turn against Waller and save the world as payback for her lies in September and October of this year. Also Jon turning into an Amazo with no memory of who he is, in which i feel sorry for and that it's on par with him spending seven years stuck inside a volcano with Ultraman, and in The Absolute Power Super Son he too will remember who he is and he will not only overcome the Brainwashing and conditioning, not only overcome Waller's control with Courage but also turn against Waller and he too will save the day in September of this year, Also Thanks for the early review Fortress. Also Oilver seems to forget that Batman and Waller have always been the same people but at least Batman would never ever manipulate his enemies with bombs in their necks. According to me. About Nia holding back, only Waller is still standing in Issue Suicide Squad Dream Team. I forgot what part of the issue... At the end of Superman #15 after Lex loses his mind, Doomsday hits a prison in Hell. Maybe this has something to do with Nia holding back her answer from Waller. It will be interesting to see if the superheroes have recovered their former powers after Absolute power? because after Absolute Power. Doomsday will break free from Hell and face them. And are sovereign bureaus such as Brainiac Queen, Amazos, Failsafe, Green Arrow, Dreamer, and others who betrayed Waller to save the world in the future preparing to face Doomsday? In the action comic Doomsday special, I forgot which issue it was in.... Doomsday has taken over Hell. Even Lucifer, the previous king of hell, asked Martian Manhunter and Supergirl Kara Zor El for help to defeat Doomsday and take his throne back.

I don't know, Matt. Green arrow's turn doesn't really make sense to me, honestly. He's always looked skeptically upon the Justice League, to be sure, but Amanda Waller is the physical embodiment of unfettered authority, with no checks and balances whatsoever. This Waller-centric event is called ABSOLUTE POWER for goodness sake. Everything Ollie has ever railed against his entire career. And he's working for her, for real? Ollie, how could you do it?

i think waller is going to be shifting power but not the way it looks and also its about making everyone realize they need to pick a side and get organized well doing the right thing
So like Devils reign and Marvels civil war. Doesn’t she need to cause real damage to convince people that the causalities are real?

I know some people would find Green Arrow’s betrayal shocking, but when you look over the stuff he has done in the past. Voting to have Batman’s mind erased in Identity Crisis Issue 6 and killing Prometheus in Justice League Rise & Fall Special. Green Arrow’s rise in becoming a villain and departure as a hero makes sense.
Jon is probably going to be dead after this but it was nice having him around while it lasted.
The writers baby him too much throwing him from one page to the next without giving him time to learn martial arts and weponise Kryptonian tech

For Green Arrow 13, I like that Oliver had to spend his final time with his family before he decided to work with Waller because he has no choice. I also like that Roy and Lian have father-daughter time by becoming superheroes and save Chesire. Same thing with Conner becoming the Green Arrow again. Let’s hope that the Green Arrow Family realize that Oliver is a double agent and that they’ll defeat Waller together in Absolute Power. Overall, this comic is great! For Flash 10, I like that the Flash Family tried to do whatever it takes to save Wally from the Arc Angles and the Crown of Thawnes while Barry (and the Flash Family) is fighting Bat-Fraud (whom, unbeknownst to them, is an old friend). The only criticism I can say is being a prelude to Absolute Power because Waller appearing in almost every Dawn of DC book. Overall, this comic is interesting and okay.

Wow, while a lot of the set-up for this event was pretty weak, the event itself is hitting hard. Very pleased to see start off this good, I was worried this was just another summer event that was going to derail all of the ongoings (Cough cough, Knightmares or whatever last year's event was called.) But I'm happy to see where this is going.
This has to lead to the death of Amanda waller becuase I can't see her going to jail with the influence, resources and dirt she got on EVERYONE.
Amanda Waller is kinda realistic because there are plenty of people who work for the Government who do crimes and never get in trouble for it. Like Hilary.

This storyline reminds me of Teen titans when the brotherhood of Evil are using the titans secret channel to ambush everybody worldwide before they got the chance to regroup. I also noticed a little devils reign in their too with the media 🫢

I hope that after Absolute Power, Wallet will be teleported to Earth 3. because Waller is a fugitive there.
I like that Carol was able to save Hal’s life and admit her feelings for him because they realize that they love each other and never let them go, although I feel bad that Nate was left at the alter since he was a nice guy. I hope that Nate will understand all of this and would not blame her for what she did as well as find someone to love and cherish for a long time. The surprising (or unsurprising) thing about this comic is Tharros working for Waller because Absolute Power. I hope that the upcoming events ends with Waller getting her comeuppance from all of the villains of all DC titles, the Suicide Squad, the superhero community, and the civilians of Gamorra. Overall, this comic is great! For the Guy Gardner backup, I thought it was hilarious that Guy and the fake Lobo teamed up to free themselves, with Guy as a delivery man before he pretended to be Czarnian.

It upsets me they gave Bruce his hand back, I was liking actual battle damage on Bruce for once. I really think editorial made Zdarsky walk back on a lot of the decisions he was making or was going to make; maybe I'm wrong. Zdarsky was showing us the TOLL Batman's journey was having, on himself, his mental state, and most importantly, his family. Zdarsky was shaking up the status quo, making us question if Batman's war against crime was ultimately the best choice, the dichotomy between Bruce and Zurr wasn't always so clear. Bruce made the decision to choose family over efficiency and I wish we saw the consequences of this, I wish his struggle against crime became harder; knowing that he NEEDS his family to help. It feels like Bruce has been rewarded for defeating Zurr, (arm back, money back, family back.) Instead of being punished for the mistakes me made (Hand gone, money gone, family not shattered but bonds definitely need to be worked on.) This story could have been optimistic without being.. Utopian.
Well Bruce kinda had his hand back anyway... He was using a metal prosthetic that worked exactly like a real hand. There is no difference between Bruce having a real hand or a robotic one. As for family vs efficiency, that was never the point Zurr was getting rid of criminals through extreme measures and being absolutely ruthless. Bruce was fighting against that as he felt that it isn't his call to make. Its not his job to decide if those villains/former villains should be punished and how he should go about it. Zurr even tried getting the Bat-family on his side by masquerading as the real Bruce Wayne. Also do we really need another story about how Bruce needs his Bat-family? We've seen this story time and again, even in this story Bruce needed his Robin's to help him defeat Zurr... Bruce getting his money back it could also be that the writers want to bring back Bruce Wayne being Bruce instead of Batman all the time .Plus Batman being broke had relatively no effected on him as he still had all the tech, gadgets and equipment needed.
So is Gotham Girl still in the basement 😆
I’m glad this comic finished with a wholesome ending.
I like that Bruce tried to do whatever it takes to save his clone from being aged up before the the clone sacrificed his hand so that Bruce could have his hand back before he died in piece. I also like that Bruce got his money, house (although it’s a new manor since he told Savage to keep Wayne Manor because he’s going to find a way to defeat him because new status quo), family, and Selina (who told him about her adventures in Tini Howard’s run, in which they laugh because it’s ridiculous and dumb) back. Overall, this is a good comic and sets a new status quo for the Batman Family after Absolute Power (which might be a lackluster event).
