Hello everyone, its Brennan at BC Labs. This channel focuses around technology and tinkering projects. Some of the major topics I will cover will be PC setups, VR, 3D printing, and programming projects. I know there is always more to learn, but my goal is to share my experiences so others can benefit.

me. using virtual monitor for 360' gaming experience😂 yeah. it works
Hi, How much fps u got with lenovo legion go and Quest 3 on Half Life Alyx?
mine doesn't do that. It just has 1 monitor, and I can switch to my other one
Meta Remote Desktop, or Meta Horizon Workrooms?
Meta Remote Desktop, or Meta Horizon Workrooms?
@@bc_labs I had to leave a private room or w/e and then it worked :)
this might be stupid but is it now possible to use discord to talk with your friend while still playing games?
Yes at least from my experience I was able to. You have to launch Discord in the browser since it's not in the store yet, and you set up all your settings via the browser And then you should be able to switch over to your game and continue talking. I've had it where it stopped working intermittently. But to fix it all I had to do was to mute myself and then unmute myself, or quickly leave voice Channel and rejoin
Funny considering v66 passthrough almost seems worse for me.
Have you got all the features yet? When I first got v66 I did not have the improved pass through nor did I have background audio. After a day or so and a couple reboots some of the other features trickled in. The pastor Improvement was mostly due to warpage though not necessarily clarity. I did see improved Clarity but I also improved my lighting significantly. But warping improved in all conditions from what I can tell
@@bc_labs I just checked it again, its bad, like the worst ive ever noticed.
Same here. Got the background audio and the wrist button since the update. But the passthrough is same as v65 😢
Link text to model on MakerWorld: makerworld.com/en/models/503707#profileId-419202 I hope this helps fellow owners of A1's and A1 Mini's
You had me at fsa
Love this content! Keep up the good work!
I updated to version 66 on Q3 but I didn’t notice any changes?! Like the pass though is still distorted and there’s no wrist button!! I wonder why!
wrist button is a experimental option you have to enable it manually
They usually fade in some features in different waves. Sometimes different features get unlocked over-the-air, days after you get the update. When I first updated to v66, the background audio wasn't working, and Distortion didn't seem fully fixed.
I got v66 on my quest 2 but not on my quest 3’s where I really want it I been checking for it. When I got the v66 on my quest 2 I didn’t get the hide apps till yesterday. I hid all my old demos and stuff I care less about or has been sunsetted like echo and it puts it in a hidden area in the filters.
btw one less bad thing is you cn hold wrist home button to center. I still would want hold wirst home button to expand menu or one like they did in visionOS2
alright so i wanna know if it’s jus time but i know they had a feature to use a controller and a hand simultaneously but it doesn’t work anymore since v65, once it detects a controller it disables hand tracking immediately
less vibrant but better pixel quality
And I just did a video on the newest update and they definitely improved warpage is well.
And I just did a video on the newest update, they definitely improved warpage is well in v66. I will say that lighting has made a huge difference. I have used my headset in rooms that are just like lit with incandescent very dim, and I've used it in rooms with really high strength LEDs and fluorescent. Having at least I'd say 5,000 lumens to 8,000 lumens in a room makes a huge difference to the pass through quality. I was in a room with 30,000 Lumen light which is basically like daylight practically, and the passthrough was on par with my Vision Pro demo.
@@bc_labs nice
ahah this was exactly what I thought after I installed in on my quest 3 and laptop lol, "okay cool, but why?" this literally has no real purpose.. there's much potential...
Hi, the video is cool, but I don't understand one thing, I downloaded the telegram apk and tried to open it, but it didn't open, what should I do with the file manager to make everything work? And is it possible to download other apk applications, please take a separate video if it's not difficult
If you don't have developer mode enabled, it's not possible. Once you have developer mode enabled, it should be as easy as finding the file within the file manager and opening it. It should automatically ask you if you want to install. I have another video that talks about the Godot game engine on the headset, and it explains better how to install third-party apps. I don't remember if I included this part about setting up developer mode, but there is documentation from Meta, as well as other KZread videos on that.
крутое видео, но после установки telegram apk у меня он просто не хочет открываться, что мне делать? Как настроить файловый менеджер так чтоб я смог его открывать? Сможешь помочь мне пожалуйста?
И можно ли еще скачивать другие приложения
You need to be in developer mode, but then it should be possible to install almost any android app
Man ffs I’m tryna decide wether to buy the rokid max or keep my quest 3??? I found a way to stream 4k movies to my quest but how much better are these or the rokid max vs the quest really? Is it genuinely even worth it if I don’t care using my quest because comfort isn’t a bother for me so it’s more so just the screen and how blurry they are be quest mainly the edges too cuz quest is blurry on edges so Also screen size is basically an important thing because quest it’s obviously edible to huge cinema screens
Comparing the AR glasses and Quest is hard. If you only ever use your quest for streaming a PC to it or movie streaming, AR glasses might be better for you. But there basically is no VR gaming or AR gaming/productivity on AR glasses. They dont have hand or eye tracking, so you really dont have the same experience at all. I had borrowed the XREALs from a friend, and kept my Quest 3. I hope soon AR glasses have a bit more of the same productivity features.
@@bc_labsI really only intended to use these to watch 4k movies I downloaded and then the quest for games but the main thing being if I think the quest looks ok then there’s probably no points other than comfort unless the screens way better which it can’t be because it says 1080p but the screens smaller so it looks better which could be worse as the quest screen you can make as big as you want in a cinema but the quest has this blur which is annoying almost like if you get water on a camera lens where you can see clear but it’s blurry
@@bc_labs I’ve tired watching 4k stuff on the quest lately and it’s good quality the only thing that’s bothering me is the face you can see circles and can’t see the full screen because you look out of cricles which is good for games but not movies Are these circles
nobody wants POS resolution for a PC monitor
2k? I have 2k on my PC and am happy. The in headset recording is capped at 1080p so you don't get to experience the crispness I did (and this video I mistakenly had recording at 1024x1024)
@@bc_labs My problem is TEXT. I've been doing PCs since the start and monitor text display was always the issue, always looked closely at monitors when shopping (way back when we went to a store for PC stuff, that was a LONG time ago). Text display was horrible, but been great since LCD monitors. The resolution on these goggles is good to anyone who isn't pedantic, but apparently the problem is TEXT. Good resolution doesn't mean good text display. Sounds like the same problem big screen TVs have, even decent ones.
God knows i need one, but as usual I won't get it 😞
How about not using cheap clips to hold your keys and spend a few dollars and get a standard carabiner?
It’s because you’re using cheaply made caribiner. That red one looks like one of those free crap business advertising gift at every single job tent and table at any event. Go and invest in a heavy duty quality made one. You don’t even need to spend a ton, go to your local hardware store and go get a stainless steel carabiner made they make small ones that are made to be used with chains and sh*t It all last way longer than that 3d printed one that’s for sure, honestly I wouldnt doubt the cheapy aluminum one lasts longer than the 3d printed one as well
Reminds me of a shower ring
What about roll out
Nice job man, mine are absolutely terrible so I would love to see a company make your design and I would definitely buy it
Glad you like them! Although I'm going to give out some free ones, I'm going to probably also throw them up in my shop for like 5ish bucks. Basically just enough to cover cost of shipping and the plastic.
WESN already did it
@@Therealmanfacedman ik bút it’s still a good idea :)
@@Therealmanfacedman even tho WESN has a sleek metal design they both had great designs
Just go buy a good quality carabiner, and not a cheap, low quality clip like he is using in the video to make a false point.
Great Video
Even META OS is better thean PCVR at this point.
could you put any on that screen in 360 "mode" for example if you want to play any game remotely you can play in virtual reality remote
Virtual desktop supports that, as well as alvr. There are specific streamers set up for that purpose unlike immersed. Because you're not really streaming 360 you're only streaming the rendered portion of the game and you're sending inputs back and forth based on headlook and everything
not very good for play videogames, i pref my monitor instead of quest 3, when you try play games for example RUST, you will feel delay and bad performance, playable yes but better in monitor
It definitely very much depends on the type of game you're playing. The more twitch based, or extremely sensitive multiplayer the less I think that this is the go to option But if I'm going out of town or something And I could bring my laptop or Steam Deck, and either My Quest three or a single monitor I'd likely bring my Quest 3. I can make the screen much larger than I could with a portable monitor, and if I'm doing more productive stuff I can use it for three monitors. So there's definitely trade-offs
can I let my computer at home and use vr as a monitor at work? mirroring my own notebook at home
Generally most of the remote desktop clients for the quest do support this, although it's not ideal due to the potential delay/ lag
There’s actually a Steam Deck Plugin that lets you use the Xreal glasses with 3DOF
That's good news, I guess that's a recent development because there was very little if any Linux support available when I was originally testing these out
Yea, it’s still early days and lots of new dev projects starting to break out. I believe the plugin is called XR Gaming :)
@@bc_labs You... You _do_ know that Android is a _Linux platform,_ right?
Sick! Been waiting for something like this.
Those tools already exist
Obviously, but I saved a trip to the store, had a bit of fun, and the match this flooring key better
"Laminate Flooring Installer Tool." The term is Tapping Block, I believe, lol
I know that they've made blocks before, but this one has the exact shape of this flooring and that's why I did it.
Plus it save me a trip to the store
When you learn to do flooring from a google search
Not sure what's wrong with my method, I've done tons of flooring
Some people just don't understand that building your own tools has a level of satisfaction that adds to the project.
Hope you plan to fix that garbage at the door jambs
What I definitely fix that, I threw that in there to show my pain, lol. I put the piece in and it had to wrap around the corner, so I didn't realize until it was all the way in there that it was barely too short
Your busting the locks because your not lifting the floor when you install it that floor will Separate in time
Or you could just use some scrap pieces of the hardwood flooring
Then it breaks, it's not super strong, even with using the rubber hammer. That's what I was doing for the first while and I decided to make something custom to avoid that
You can buy a kit that has that but better, but great work!
Cool but they already sell this in the hardware store for installing these types of flooring
that wasent his point
@@askingduckperhaps not, but the tools they sell are specifically designed to install this flooring without damaging it. If you install flooring you know why they make the specific tool they do.
Depends if it's key for the exact flooring, that's the thing I made sure this was Keith exactly for the floor I was putting in not generic
😂😂😂😂😂😂 there are tools better than that you just don’t know
You know knowing something exists is not the same as save yourself a trip to the hardware store, and having a little bit of fun
nah, after a quarter of a 2d game you are gonna have gorilla arms. if they made file transfers not a trainwreck it would be pretty cool to run it on link.
Why is that? Using a keyboard and mouse it's not much different than just a laptop with Viture/Rokid/Xreal glasses. No reason to run it on link when you can run it locally. Although a better file system interface without sideloading would be better.
@@bc_labs Sorry, my comment was a little garbled. I was attempting to point out that using touch controls would be a workout when making a game 😂
This is so cool!
V63 looks better
V63 was definitely more vibrant, but v64 definitely has seemed more clear for me. Unfortunately it's all trade offs, unless they start doing some computationally expensive ai upscaling
Costs 620€ in Europe tho
Was a MicroCenter Deal only. Otherwise, it's more like 450-500 here. I just wanted to quickly share the potential for a good deal here in the States.
That is not true
@lupus_nocte not sure if you're replying to me or to the original commenter, but the only reason I was able to get the deal I got is via the extra 10% off with their card. Obviously not everybody's going to go that route, but that did save me 30 or so dollars. I sure hope it's not 620 Euros all over Europe because that's pretty steep
I replied to the guy who claimed that the prize for the a1 is 620 euro. That is just not true. Nowhere in EU @@bc_labs
Definitely the best starter printer on the market right now! Can only argue other higher priced printers for more difficult to print materials.
I'm honestly quite impressed, and I have a couple more shorts I'm going to put up on some of the cool stuff I was able to do with it versus my K1. If it wasn't for multi-material I still think I like printing on my K1 better, but Bambu Labs does such a good job on their UI that it is a treat to work with.

Thank you for sharing information about this game option.
do I have to use auto bed leveling to use flexible bed? since every removal and reinstall might change the bed height slightly
No generally that's not necessary, the thickness never changes and its magnetic so you don't have to worry about that, I've done it both on printers with and without Auto bed leveling
@@bc_labs nice. Thanks man!
I agree. there needs to be a remote accsessible multi monitor xr solution.
Honestly, and I think this is only possible in Linux since Microsoft is probably not going to make it easy, I would say there really needs to be something kind of that can throw application Windows individually as individual streams to a VR headset There's also some Brilliance that could be introduced if such an application also exposes the Z height or layering of the elements, and applies a very slight depth to them in VR.
