Video submissions for Canadian MBA Schools competing in MBA Games 2014 - Connect the Dots!
Only "Likes" on this page count towards spirit points.
This is truly the age of interconnectedness. Universal awareness and the budding of a world-wide consciousness has lead to a globalization never seen before. The impact of environmental realities, economic successes and failures as well as social movements have never been more accessible.
It is on this stage that innovators are finding solutions to a never-ending list of challenges. Dots represent these challenges and innovative solutions including: ideas, concepts and breakthroughs that are taking place across the globe. Connect the Dots is the concept that as a business community we support these dots through creativity and discovery of connections. By reinventing old business models, reframing problems, stepping away from the standard and thinking outside the box, we are the back-bone which supports this interconnectedness.

The BCom of Alberta School of Business is good, but, lets face it, MBA? Think Rotman.
My friends and I unfortunately graduated from Brock for accounting and some from economics with honors and did co-op. I have to be brutally honest it's been 3 years and I still don't have a job in my accounting field. Most of my friends are working minimum wage jobs and yes the co-op programs at Brock don't really help, because other students from good schools such as UFT, Western, McMaster flood the business industry. I did a very good job when I was doing co-op but didn't get hired after graduation I spoke to the HR at the company and they make up a stupid excuse then they say "we'll call you" its been three years and they've hired other students from reputable schools. I don't blame them it's business they need to hire students from reputable schools, so they're business can look good. In conclusion if you don't have connections which 99% of us students don't. Don't bother going to Brock or any low class uni, because you'll be paying for it for the rest of your life and co-op or high grades is NOT going to save you. So I would advise you to work harder at a reputable uni since your going to spend the same four years. even if you need to spend an additional year or two at a reputable uni I would definitely recommend that rather then being jobless years after graduating with high grades from Brock.
+Stac Bent I just want to say, you are just speaking from your own experience and u cannot use that to swing other people. Brock has very solid Accounting program which is pretty well known in the industry. Everybody around me in the Accounting field has found a decent co-op placement, many of them stayed after the co-op! included Scotiabank, KWC and TD etc. Brock is growing, Goodman is growing. I think you need to look into more about yourself and find out what the real problems are.
Going here next year, I really hope it goes well! Seems fun, and a great experience.
