  there was nothing wrong with the wash, in my opinion. you even got a nice head massage, which you do not get from other basic salons, the lady took her time with your hair, it was not rushed and she was gentle. the thing with her hands that you seem to have disliked, it could have just been her making sure your hair is detangled. i think you are just having a hard time with the fact that you paid R250 for just a wash. the place was nice, airy, clean, you were comfortable and the overall service was good, which is something i cannot say about many salons. the products used on your hair were specific for afro hair, which makes them a bit pricey, unlike what you would get elsewhere. and yes, you could have done it yourself, but then again, it is just a wash, there was no miracle to be performed. i am not sure how i feel about the price, i do not want to comment too much about it because i am not in that type of business, but i do know that at this point of my life i would not wash my hair for that amount, regardless of what type of a salon it is. overall, i loved and appreciated your video, i subscribed to your channel and would like to see more. thank you

  I have 4c hair and I used to be so afraid of wash and go's, I always heard they cause single strand knots and detangling issues. I've recently found a method that has made me fall in love with wash and go's 😍 the Anthony Dickey method. He advices that us 4c girls should be cowashing our hair everyday or every other day and including our wash and go styling into our shower routine. I know this routine might not work for most people, but it works for me since I was already washing my hair at least twice a week, cleansing on Sundays and cowashing on Wednesdays. I've since added another cowash day to my routine, which is Friday. I workout 6 days a week and sweat buckets, and this was actually another reason I was so afraid of wash and go's cause I always thought my working out would ruin the style, but after learning that I can actually restyle as often as I want to, I'm definitely becoming a wash and go girlie! 🙌🏾 I currently use Easy Waves curl activator gel and Isoplus styling gel, and planning to add mousse for my next wash and go just to see how it will turn out, also to see if it can help speed up the drying time. I do dry my hair under a soft hood dryer attachment (I'm still shopping for an actual hooded dryer so this is what I use for the time being). I have been meaning to try Aunt Jackie's products next. I have seen that they have a "Aunt Jackie's wash and go combo" at Cosmetic Connection, it contains 4 products, the shampoo, deep conditioner, leave-in conditioner, and gel. I think I'll be adding the ice curls mousse as well if the current mousse I have does what I think and hope it will 🤩 And you're right, of all the time I've spent looking for wash and go styling tips and tricks, you are the first South African KZreadr I've come across, and trust me, I've been searching for MONTHS.   I'm going to try the whole range when my products run out. I've loved the reviews and first impressions I've seen so far. I would have loved to see you use the styling products but I get that not everyone uses those. I wish the conditioner worked for a shorter time.
