I intend to play this on Sunday March 17 as a prelude . It won’t be as impressive as this rendering but I will try!

Beautiful, I love this tune, I’m more familiar with it set to slightly different words. I love a well played powerful organ this is one hymn that certainly should be belted out with all you’ve got.

Nicely Played . 😊 Just a question if I may ask . I am new to organ playing . I can see you have wide fingers . How do you manage if you have to play “Eb root chord” ( Eb + G + Bb) with left or right hand without sliding into black keys ? I have big fingers , I find it impossible to play it my church’s organ , where keys are bit closely packed . So, I always transpose or download a lower or higher arrangement to avoid songs in B flat and Eb major …

I think the answer to all such questions is practise! There are certainly plenty of keyboard players who don't have slender fingers. A couple of techniques that might be useful are angling a finger that is wide but not too thick. That can reduce its effective width. The other is to ensure you don't play too far towards the back of the keys; keep the hands as close to yourself as possible.
