  Damn im watching Ivar last seasons and its far far away from first seasons level. I would really like watching series to be: Ragnar becoming Jarl/King -> attacking and winning war with england -> attacking paris -> winning, getting glory and dieing in that war becoming symbol for vikings -> end of story. But we saw Ragnar losing ,dieing and stupid last seasons without his powerful building whole fame of this series acting

  It goes without saying the Original is vastly superior. Like it's not even debatable. The OG narrator had such fire in his belly, whenever he spoke any line you can't help but want to drive the English out of Scotland. Even the English AOE2 players, would be convinced. The other guy, yes I get he's an "authentic scotsman" but goddamn he puts me to sleep. I couldn't care less about the English with him, meanwhile when I boot up the old game and get hit with the first line: "THE ENGLISH ARE TERRORIZIN' ALL OV' SCOTLEND!.... AND, IT'S TYME FOR UZZ TO FIGHT 'BACK!" - I'm in. Let'ssss Gooo, boys LEET'SSS GO!!!!

  I always loved the efficient way land units turned and stacked in classic AoC, even liked how they almost turn into a wave rather than individual units when they are set to patrol a short distance. That precise pathing and movement is what made AoE2 feel enjoyable and different from games like Starcraft or Warcraft where units had more solid hitboxes and did not move in formation.

  December 14th, 2023, there hasn't been any updates or hotfixes since. The formation turn is hit and miss, try a few iterations of line-to-column (right-click 10+ tiles away) turn of a large formation and you will see it is quite inconsistent. This video shows the worst case scenario.

  yes, they do. this is a possible workaround but doing a line-to-line turn (just order closer, within 10 tiles) works even better

  @@hjoerleif2 it was a pathing joke, but i dont think cavalry should just be able to 180 on the spot like old aoe2

  @@isculptmemes I don't think the way this turn is in HD is unreasonable and I don't want new realism features in aoe2 like momentum (I think they can keep those things to other and new games like aoe4 or total war games)
