    Andrew, I see you are a Fellow Michigander ;) I have an 03 XR100 that I just did this gearing switch on. I was going to go with 15/46 but figured that would be way to steep for the trail layout work we do up here for the Jackpine/Pinecone Enduro. My XR is my secondary bike as I have a Fully Modded TTR125/150 that is usually my go to bike, which I also did a gearing swap on. We do alot of road/two track riding between sections and I can Always use More mph on top-end for Beer-Thirty back at the Clubgrounds after arrowing All day long out in the woods. Thanks for the video !!!

I sanded my '95 CR250r head until most of the marks were gone (still a few left but think it'll be fine) I sanded in a back&forth motion on a dinner table rotating for about 5 minutes a little faster than you're going. You should be okay. But once you get it back together go warm it up take it for a rip bring it back and check your plug to see what it looks like. Depending on what type of gasoline octane you use you should just be able to bump it up a little and go from there. That is if it changed anything.

    Hanging idle means your pilot jetting or fuel screw are set too lean. Back the fuel screw out 1/8 turn at a time, blimp the throttle and give it 10 seconds to stabilize until idle doesn't hang. If you need to go 3 or more turns out, your pilot jet is too small.

    @Fixin2Ride-Official-Ай бұрын

    Sorry for the delayed response I was at the Track yesterday. Once you remove the 4 retaining bolts there is a big seal that seals the jet pump to the hull. This seal is a wedge fit and gets corroded. So you will need to use a bit of force. Try using a rubber mallet and work it back and forth as well with a prybar. I wouldn't put the prybar directly on the hull though. Maybe use a thin but sturdy piece of wood. Try and get something between the jet pump and anchor plate from below. Then work it back and forth until it comes out. Be prepared as it might take a bit of time. Just be gentle but forceful enough to get it out. You can do it. Just take your time. You don't want to bust anything... It's all aluminum. Let me know when you get it out and I'll give you further instruction on how to refurbish the seal, mating surfaces and jet pump. Andrew P.S. This is the best place for this kind of stuff as others will have access to this information. Hope you understand.

  • @Fixin2Ride-Official-
    @Fixin2Ride-Official-Ай бұрын

    Thank you very much and best wishes to you as well. If you're not seeing anything on the dashboard these displays are known for going bad. You can either buy one for about 350 bucks or get a repaired for the same. Just make sure that you have good fuel in the tank and that you have plenty of oil and the reservoir which is in the front under the lid after you take the front trunk out. Mark it with some tape or a black marker. Then take it for a calm ride and check your plugs as well as check the oil again to see how much it has gone down. If you got new fuel in there your plugs look good and it's using a proper amount of oil and there's water coming out of the pisser port on the right side of the hull by your right foot then you should be good.

    Thanks! Just sad it was totalled. But subscribe as I still have it AND a new chassis for it. So it will be restored!
