Wow! Just Wow! We sang this at The Big Island Singers Spring program 2024 Here on Hawai‘i Island. I usually dont get to choked up while I am singing, but this song brought up so many emotions and yes, tears. Bravo Kevin! ( I am hoping that at some point it will appear on Apple Music.)

It's so much more beautiful in Latin, but here is the English translation... FYI, "suppliants" are... a person making a humble plea to someone in power or authority. O Light, born of light, Jesus the redeemer of the world. O Light, born of light, Jesus the redeemer of the world. With kindness design to receive, the praise and prayer of suppliants; prayer of suppliants. Clothed in flesh; Clothed in flesh, you deigned for loss. Grant us to be members of your blessed body. O Light, born of light, Jesus the redeemer of the world. O Light, born of light, Jesus the redeemer of the world. O Light, born of light, Jesus the redeemer of the world. I think I got it all correct.

I'm really used to hearing Ivo Antognini's version of this so it was weird to hear a different arrangement, but I actually really liked it. It's interesting how they both did a lot of similar things with the text even though they never collaborated. Beautiful <3
