Hi. would you say that this is a good shoe for.. say.. marathon distance? thanks.

sorry, I should've rephrase the question. I know you said in your video that it may be a good marathon shoe. What I meant is in terms of specs, because it has low cushion (compared to a majority of marathon shoe nowadays like hokas, for example), and that it looks like a very flexible shoe while usually you'll need a more structured shoe for longer runs like marathon. will flexible shoe beat your foot on long runs? So my question is more to 'why' do you think it will be a good marathon shoe. as background, I'm looking for a replacement for my adidas boston shoe. I'm interested in this shoe, but I'm planning to have my first marathon this year so is wondering will this shoe able to support a newbie marathoner like myself. thanks.

Does this shoe have a very pronounced arch or is it more flat?

Ed it’s pretty flat. I quite like that feeling in a shoe.

What paces have you put in these?
@FootTrafficTri6 жыл бұрын
Most of the running I have done in these have been long slow runs (4:40-5:30/km) but I have also done a few short strides outs in them (>360w which equates to about 3:00/km). I'm really enjoying running in the 890v6 and find them very versatile. Follow me on Strava and you will be able to see which runs I do in which shoes.

How was your run in these shoes? What paces have you put in them?

Good question, I said I was going to do a post run update vid....will do that next time I run in them. I've worn them for a couple of good runs. One was a Stryd Critical Power test on the a track (between 3:20-3:40/km), the other was a 'run off the bike' with a few 5min intervals at 300w (3:50-4:00/km). They feel great at speed, but I found them to be not as comfortable at a slower pace (5:00/km). Do they will be used primarily for interval sessions and races, but slower training runs I'll stick to the 890v6.

Foot Traffic Endurance Sport Coaching thanks. Are the 890v6 for pure neutral motion?

Yeah the 890v6 are a cushioned shoe, so you need to have a fairly neutral foot type
