Why do people keep saying killing him is the better choice? He’s an idiot now, that’s all. He’s not catatonic or suffering, if anything he’s probably happier now that he doesn’t have so much to think about.

I get that everyone hates this ending but i personally love it. Dishonored 2 has style but it never reaches the utter grimness of Dishonored 1 that made it so captivating. Seeing the results of the lobotomy here, however, gives just a little glimpse of thjat utter bleakness from the first game and that visceral sense of destroying a persons life to the point that they're but a walking corpse.

And then you go take out Ashford. If you take the non-lethal option, then go to her office and speak to the Delilah statue, Corvo tells her "Tell me, Delilah. i think killing him is wrong, because he is an inventor who ultimately chose the wrong side of political conflict. he is a douche, but he is also a genius whose intelegence, may improve thousand of lives. clockwork soldiers are a terrifing and misguided invention, but it is also a technical marvel that could compare only to a wall of light made by sokolov, who also chose the wrong side of political conflict and yet, the game decides that he should live. there is no perfect way of dealing with jindosh, be i the main characther, i would be impressed by him and his inventions, and do everything in my power, supernatural power included, to persuade him to change sides. i hope that the effects of shock are temporary and he will recover. nevertheless i agree the killing him using his own clockwork soldiers is ironic as hell, shame that there is no achivement for that.
