I’m really glad you’re making this series man! I’d really like to build a “budget”(lol) fun car soon to get my feet wet here in SoCal. It’s nice seeing some of the prices come back down a little. Any chassis you recommend? Also if you ever need an extra cameraman in SoCal let me know. I’m trying to work my way up to the big drift cars from RCs and classic cars that I’m typically film and photograph. I’d love to come hangout and film, maybe learn a bit too haha. Hey micah if I wanted it to work like an actual hand break where it locks up etc would it do that still? Or do I just gotta slap my car into 1st gear everytime I park on an incline or decline?😂

On my E46 I have dual calipers to my hydro and was able to retain the stock cable handbrake. You probably wouldn't be able to keep the stock handbrake with this style handle as it replaces the stock one

@@chrisizcorrupt1169 if you do inline then you can keep you’re oem brake. But I know there are hand brakes that have locks on them. So they work like a hand brake but they are hydro.

One day I’ll be able to drift playa, for now all my carcanchas are for sale. Once I can get back on my feet, I’ll try to build a real drift car to get real seat time and stop having a bunch of hotwheels in the front yard. Till then keep on keep on 😎

I got a GX100 Chaser a couple years ago right after they became legal. Just FYI, sourcing the JZ engine mount brackets took me months... and I started looking 6 months before buying the car haha. I ended up buying a set from Russia and I had to have a guy on Reddit drop-ship them to me. It's the only piece of the puzzle you need to fit a JZ (well, and the engine mounts). The subframe is the same. I'm putting a non-VVTi NA-T 2J in mine.

You should watch Jimmy oaks last two videos or at least two videos ago. He’s in Poland and has a seat time 36 there and he’s got a dope hand brake set up that utilizes a a factory button hole in the center console and the handle unscrews for incognito “no officer I wasn’t drifting” mode it is a pull style tho. Should be able to keep the factory hand brake for parking purposes.

Yo My 2000 540I EWS DME has Issues Who can Reprogram It Delete it? I put a new Battery in and was charging it new ignition switch it quit cranking but I can get it to crank with a trigger switch Help

I'd love you to go into as much detail as possible putting the 1J into the E36. I'm thinking of doing the same thing, what engine mounts & adapter plate/clutch were used initially? Collins/PMC? What manifold is on the 1J, turbo, etc. etc. Thanks! Following along :) Good luck!
