Just wanted to say that you guys should take some steps to protect your informaiton , got interested to know where you found a house for 1,3 MSEK in Sweden and took me one google search to find it, not sure if you are trying to keep it private or maybe you’ve mentioned it in a video but just watched a couple and you didn’t mention it. So just thought I let you know how easy it was to find the full address.

the one i like costs 30usd per jar, so im def gonna save a ton of money. the one i buy, claymation, has bentonite as first ingredient, so im pretty confident i can just do something similar with some bentonite, wax and oil

First thing i would direct all works to is selfsufficiency. Since power is a big deal I would do solar panels and battery system. And obviously power saving so insulation and efficiency like permaculture thoughtprocess (work with nature not against it). Great great homestead you have there. Lots of love and good vibes to you.

The house looks beautiful from the outside and once spring and summer arrives you'll have a garden full of beautiful surprises. The interior i do not envy, you have a massive job ahead of you as you are aware. The advice of an interior spacial interior designer would help you a great deal and be more affordable than making costly mistakes as you carry out your renovations. Such an exciting project btw I like your stairway

In a few years, the area will be covered with impenetrable new forrest. Til then, raspberries will grow everywhere… The plants that will be set out grow slower than the wild trees and are left in order to force the plants to grow taller. After a decade or so the fast growing plants (birch e.g.) will be trimmed.

Hi im a swed. i think we should talk a little geography of sweden. I see many englich guys have no clue about how bigg sweden is. Im born in a town called Sollefteå 140 km north of Sundsvall. Swedens geographicly Zero point is a place called Flata klacken between Ånge and Bräcke about 40 km northvest of Sundsvall. Now that means that place are the zero point of sweden in Lenth and whith . If you go up to Sollefteå you have 840 km to Kiruna in north and 840 km to Gothenburg in the south. If you stand in Gothenburg and lay out a strait line south you come to a place just outside Paris in France. Now you maybee get a hint of how Bigg Sweden is and what is up north or down south. Hope you like it KJ.

I'd get the place properly inspected - like really properly inspected - by a good inspector (very rare) - to find out what really needs doing, and get proper suggestions on what to fix, in what order, and the costs involved. And then sell it and get something more manageable. Those old summer houses were generally built horribly, and that thing looks like a prime example. You can probably shift it on for a profit now they've just dropped the interest rates. I'm a Brit who's currently serving a life sentence in the frozen wastes (hoping to be let out soon for good behaviour). Bought my first house here in 1995. A house of similar age and size on a big strandtomt on Karlsudd just outside Vaxholm, that started life as a summer house, for pretty much the same price. Thank God the location became super sought after, because although the house looked gorgeous, it was a heap of junk built by the building challenged. Eighteen years later, I sold it, and being a sucker for punishment, bought another old house. But now I know my enemy. And get a proper modern heating system, don't use fireplaces unless you're happy with awful air quality, lung problems, and most of your heat disappearing out the chimney. Yes, it looks nice, but you're better off sticking a telly in the fireplace and playing fire videos instead. Blocket is your friend for appliances. Lots of almost brand new stuff on there for next to nowt as people move into gaffs and immediately want to 'put their mark on it' and replace the almost new kitchen/laundry they just bought. Swedes are the planet's biggest brand slaves as a result of their overwhelming need to fit in. If you're happy with the 'wrong' brand, you can find lots of bargains. I have too many tips to mention, but a question. How do the cat allergic get to their cat-free room? Will you be setting up a ladder outside the window?

I think trying this out with an earthing mat from a legit company would be a better way to test this out. It would get rid of so many variables like being outside in nature, sunlight, etc.

I´m sorry that you lost the neighboring forest. Here in Sweden the forestry usually work in 70-100 year cycles. New trees will grow, and be ready for harvest for the owners grand kids... It looks sad now, but will start growing new seedlings in just a few years. Maybe you get a whole forest of raspberries in a few years. That is not so uncommon. 🙂

Barefoot shoes on concrete, if you walk a little more than a short trip to the store is the most idiotic idea in the world. Get a good fit, wide enough and protection on the shoes. People began to put all the blame on the shoes. This is the easiest thing to do. Overweight? Never in your life! Untrained muscles? Of course not! Just change your shoes and that's it. Nothing else needs to be done! A typically American approach. You're pushing 4k calories a day but if I order a zero cola once it will definitely help :) Meanwhile, minimalist shoe manufacturers are making idiots out of people and making a lot of money from them.

0,3 percent of ALL forests in Sweden are Old-growth forest, the rest are all managed by people in one way or the other. I live in Småland and everyone are raving about the old forests in Småland not knowing that 400 years ago there were almost no forests in Småland. The same in Halland that place should be just open grasslands. The entire country is like one giant Garden.

Old houses have better craftsmanship, the builders took more pride in their work, today with high levels of inflation everything is built with speed in mind, compromising quality. The old general builder had a good holistic understanding of a building project, which resulted in excellent coordination between the various disciplines and feedback to designers.

You should never go below +15 degrees Celsius in houses in Sweden to keep it free from damp and mould.
