  They could speed up the process of turning the log by using a simple offset gear that will flip the log 90 degrees by driving a lever that flips it over mechanically. Why turn it manually when the machine can do it for you without risk?

  Zero eye protection, if that bandsaw hits a solid chunk of metal in the log, it could break apart in two! Looks like they only had nails and minor pieces of metal to deal with. If there had been anything large and solid, there would be a person missing an eye, because they have absolutely zero eye protection whatsoever!
