    This is why they say teaching is a calling not everyone can be a teacher if you don't treat your kids like equal humans too that have different backgrounds and level of emotion.... If you can't handle it don't be a teacher this is not just a Job! I'm talking to some here that moans and complains sweeping generalization that all kids now are like that, You are the teacher teach what Respect looks like in a classroom setting not embarrass but correct them in a respectable way too.

    I don’t know how to teach that last lesson. I can’t even begin to design this lesson. What did you use for your example of a successful independent way of working ? Could you share your lesson step-by-step in a video? I had this exact issue with one of my classes. They wouldn’t work independently. 80% of my class too. Please help me learn exactly what you did!

    It’s worse when The Principal or Assistant Principal ask students to tell their version of a story involving a teacher and what the students say is the GOSPEL TRUTH. You better best believe respect has gone out of the window.

    Thank you for sharing educator in training ❤ I’m trying to do better as well bc I can come off strong with delivery and tone and with an attitude bc of the disrespect the student gives. I wanted to find another approach, so thank you. I think a meeting should be had between me and the student. Even though I was minding my own business when all of a sudden that student said what are you doing to me bc I was sitting down thinking about what to do next and that student kept a grudge ever since, and tells my what she is not going to do.

    Thank you for the wise tips, and it was short and to the point as well. I'm a contract private music teacher, and I have experienced a bit of disrespect from a student, who is not being as co-operative as I would like, he is smart, but I think he does'nt understand the meaning of practicing with good habits, I'm going to try to comunicate that, but he has this level of disrespect, that I'm trying to understand why is he being that way, I feel like he has a know it all type of vibe. Or who cares about this lesson it won't affect my grades. (I teach private lesson at a private school) so anyways, I will have to learn to work on my communication skills, and hopefully see a improvement.

    Exactly. I am also a University lecturer. Most of these videos are just related to kids. However, there are so many disrespectful and defiant students even at university level. I sometimes have to struggle alot with their behaviour. What would you personally suggest me?

  • @Yahdish
    @Yahdish2 ай бұрын

    Some people are meant to be teachers. If you can't relate to the population, group, age group or race of where you are trying to teach, move on. Having Genuine Empathy for the young generation and their society are a must have. Not just to be there for your paycheck or your own benefits. I've been in the teaching fields for many years from K-12, and have seen too many BA degree teachers leave from one school to another for various reasons but mainly due to stress from children. So, if you want to teach, then teach and mean it well.

    If Consequences aren't Working: 2 Main Methods 1. Modify the current consequence 2. Change the Consequence --What is the consequence? What is the need of the student? Are you being consistent? Delivery of Consequence? Appropriate Consequence to the Behavior? Allow the consequence of the undesirable action to last up to 10 school days.

    But what possible consequences can there be?You can’t toich them. You can’t raise your voice. Involving ad ministration only works if you are supported by the administration. This video is worthless.

  • @FeedTheirNeeds
    @FeedTheirNeeds2 ай бұрын

    I have some videos on my channel that gives specific consequences. You can check my playlist as well. Let me warn you, they do not involve hands on or straining your voice, and they may seem mild. But when consistently implemented they can and have been effective in many classrooms.
