I want to buy double Vario Gate for my Ford Edge. How will I get access to spare tire and a Jack in my trunk after the install of the Gate?

Hello, If you want access to those, you'd need to loosen the 4 straps and remove the VarioGate. Maybe its possible to loosen the front straps and lift the front of the gate but that might not be very easy and the gates height might be a limiting factor. Best regards MIMteam

Hej, denna video var till hjälp när jag monterade min grind så tack. Men har nu bytt bil och behöver justera dessa ”pinnar” men de sitter ju fast. Och skruvar jag för att lätta så släpper skruven och ramlar ner och expandern fastnar i röret medan jag får pinnen i handen. Hur löser man detta? Har hänt med 3 st jag försökt justera nu. Tacksam om ni kan svara

Hej, Tack för din kommentar. Jag skulle säga att om expandergummit fastnat i röret så krävs nog något långt och smalt som du kan föra ner i röret för att pressa på gummit så det kommer ut röret. Det är ingen vanlig fråga vi får så jag har inget snabbt trix förberett tyvärr. Jag ska ta upp det med produktutveckling i alla fall, så får de kolla varför det händer och om vi ska ändra något framöver. Mvh MIMteam

hi, I have a double cage which I have to replace to this system due to change of car, a Nissan Qashqai Tekna+ 2023 model. Hello, I cant seem to find a good picture of the trunk so I cant say for sure. But I guess, if any cage will fit, it would be our Compact-cages. If you measure the trunk and then look at the measurements on our website there might be a chance!

Hello, All our products are crash tested and safe, but Cages are safer because its a contained area and the Gate doesnt have any sides to contain the dog if the side window breaks for example. I have a Polestar 2 due in April 2023 which of course is a hatchback. I have a medium size Springer Spaniel and have l been looking at your cages with a view to having it secured on the back seat. Probably a regular large one. However having seen your VarioSystem I wonder if you could consider making a double ended version. With a door at each end. It would allow me to provide her with use of the maximum space and hight whilst restraint her comfortable and safely. If you could let me know how best to contact you I would be mots grateful. Jim

I have the same cage. But maybe a bit older, as the door does not have this "sissor-opening". How can I change my lock?

Hello, yes its still doable but you have to do it from a different angle. You enter from the left side of the handle to remove the clip/nut on the back side and the same way when you fasten the new lock. I hope that made sense :)

My dogs hate to lie on the bar in the middle that was in the older generation. Glad it's fixed now. What about making the lock Thule compatible to that we can install the same lock cylinder and use the same key as the rest of our Thule products?

Går den justera i sidled om man vill utnyttja mer bagageutrymme i bilen/ ha mer utrymme till hunden? Samt går det att köpa två och sätta ihop till dubbelgrind? Med två hundar varav den ena åker bil jämt och den andra ibland hade det varit toppen med någon sådan lösning.

Hej, jag hade hemskt gärna sett mer info med en video om hur man fäster Variocage i bilen. Sedan skulle jag verkligen önska mig en betydligt bättre guide om hur man hittar rätt storlek av bur för just ens egen hund. Idag är det för rörigt och svårbegripligt. Gör en konkret guide hur man mäter hunden, hur mycket plats behöver den i buren inte bara i höjd men också i bredd. Sist tänket jag att de olika produktserierna är svårbegripliga med inte helt logiska namn. Bra produkt men som hundägare behöver man mer hjälp, stöd och information.

The frontal collision is still plenty hurtful for the dog. They still get pushed up on the seats very hard and this will curve their spinal cord and compress it. The amount of G-forces is not lessened by those dampener springs on the cage. This product seems to be designed toward damage control for your vehicle and injury mitigation for passengers. There are almost no special dog-life saving properties.

Guten Tag MIMSafe, ich verstehe die Aussage dieses Videos nicht. Soll ich nun keine Hundebox benutzen? Oder gibt es eine, die Sie empfehlen? (wenn ja, wo ist dies nachzuempfinden, wo kann ich eine Box kaufen, die Sie empfehlen?) Das hat mich jetzt total verwirrt und macht mir Angst. Ich dachte, es wäre gut, wenn ich eine Hundebox kaufe, aber anscheinend nicht????

was soll das: entweder zerlegt sich die hundebox beim heckaufprall, dann erwischt es den hund. oder sie bricht nicht zusammen dann gefährdet sie die hinten sitzenden.. dazwischen gibt es nichts, ausser vielkleicht einem 10 m langen heck.

Men dette hundeburet var løst i bagasjen, hva når buret festes, slik det skal... Og hva er poenget med denne filmen, når man ikke har noen forklaring på hvordan evt man kan sikre hund i bil, som ikke forårsaker slik skade? Var det en film for å si at folk ikke skal ha med hunden på tur i bil?
