  Thanks! Man, that's a good question. These 3 come to mind. Junkyard Fury 2 (PS4), Quantum Theory (Xbox 360) and Far Cry Instinct (Xbox 360). That actually sounds like a solid video idea lol.

  I love that you used Re2 at the beggining. My absolute favorite demo as a kid and that and RE3 from ps1 are still to this day my faborite games ever created. Very good video brother.

  Hi, nice video! I like how it feels like you’re just chatting. I used to get the PlayStation magazine demo discs. They made like 112 of them and they each had four or more demos on them. Best deal for a kid who didn’t know what games to play. My dad really crushed it by subscribing for me

  Extremely good video. - Liked and subbed :) One I remember playing to death was the splitscreen vs demo for Future Cop LAPD on the original Playstation. A third person shooter tower defence mode that was completely separate from the main game campaign. Endless hours of fun.

  I dont like demos which are the beginning of the game though . Dead rising and resident evil 5 did it right whete it was a random part of the game mixed with other random part so that you can get an idea of what youre getting into and playing

  I can agree with that. I also prefer demos that are completely separate from the main game. Like its a little side game in a way. Demos like Resident Evil 7 or Alone in the Dark 2024, both had demos that were custom-made sections of the game. So you got to experience the game, but it didn't spoil anything from the main game. What if the demo is the beginning of the game, but the demo's progress can carry over to the main game? Are you okay with those? Examples would be Stellar Blade, Final Fantasy Rebirth, Final Fantasy XVI all let you continue your progress if you decide to buy the game.

  I'm glad to see demos being brought back a bit. My partner tried out the Pikmin 4 demo, which she loved, and it was super long as well. I'm gonna be playing a bunch of the steam next fest demos to see if there's anything that piques my interest! Thanks for doing so much effort. This video was very well made. Love from South Africa!

  Those are some great demo examples. I totally agree about demos being a better way to check if you should buy games vs game journos being wrong half the time. Great example of using that mechanism for your kids as well.

  I can't tell you how much money I've wasted on Nintendo switch games that my daughter thought she'd like but then didn't like it after about 10 mins of playing it. A demo would have saved me money 😆.

  Really interesting video! Loved all the clips and info with each game you talked about. That's really cool the cross promotion RE3 and Dino Crisis did with a disc in the other game. I hadnt heard of that being done before.

  It doesn't matter how good hellblade 2 is. Its on gamepass so it wont sell well & Hellblade 3 will be shelved, UNLESS it sells a lot of copies on Steam.

  @@linktothelight Hi Fi is a cartoon with a smaller audience so it's not a great reference but it is something to point to I suppose. The problem with hellblade is it drops May 21, completed May 22, back to starfield May 23 & it's likely going to take a hit in review scores because of it.

  I was more referencing Aaron Greenberg saying Hi-Fi was a success last year and in the end it wasn't enough for Microsoft. So if they come out and say Hellblade 2 is a success. I'll have a hard time believing them.

  @@linktothelight yea but at the end of the day they're looking at how much money they'll make off a sequel compared to how much the last game made, regardless of people liking the game or having a cult following. It needs to profit at the end of the day.

  I thought The Evil Within 1 was meh but that's just me. The Evil Within 2 though, that's one of my favorite survival horror games of all time, it was one of the few times I actually cried while playing a game. I've waited so many goddamn years for The Evil Within 3. What a waste of a corporation Xbox is now.

  The fact that shinji mikami and John johannas gone we will never see another sequel to the evil within series. So disappointed. But maybe John will find a way to bring back the story one last time with a new company.

  They legally cant, MS Gaming owns the IP so unless they decide to make it its over with. Same with Capcom owning Resident Evil, the creator who left the company can't just make a Resident Evil game. Same with Konomi owning MGS & Silent Hill. Who owns the publisher is who makes those decisions not former employees regardless if it came from the former employees mind.

  As much as I like the first evil within even I have to admit it was a mid game. The most innovative and unique thing they had was the match mechanic and instead of improving on, you know the one thing that sets your game apart they just nuked the idea entirely in the sequel wich just felt like a generic watered down survival horror game. So I’m not particularly sad about game studios that didn’t really excel at anything really.

  Gotta disagree man. Evil Within was and still is my favorite Survivor Horror game I've played. The story is easily my favorite one. And the gameplay with the crossbow, matches and stealth make it such a unique experience.

  Prey and Dishonored will not be forgiven. The game world is much sadder place now. Sony makes all the same games over and over, Ubisoft does the same, EA have nothing worth playing, i have zero fun with blizzard games so all we have are just indie games.

  Yeah, it's kind of confusing. Arkane as a whole made Dishonored 1. Then Arkane Lyon was formed and their first game was Dishonored 2. So it was probably more their game at that point. So I think Dishonored is probably in safe hands if Arkane Lyon wants to make another one.

  Thank you my friend! Midnight Suns is sooooo good. I was so surprised with how much I liked that game. Definitely give A Plague Tale a shot! The first game isn't too long. Maybe 10 hours. The 2nd game is about 20 hours. The 2nd game also has one of the best Soundtracks of All-Time.

  Yeah, what a disappointment. I know I was super pissed when they started making games online only. Lately, I have started playing a lot more games off the PlayStation because they have been missing the mark lately, but this takes the cake. What is wrong with these publishers these days? You can even look at what Sony did to HellDivers 2.

  That is true. Arkane Lyon's first game was Dishonored 2 while Austin worked on Prey. Maybe their is a chance that series could happen again.

I kinda stopped caring about gaming after that, as I was 22,23,24 and when Xbox one came out I just didn't pay attention, tho I knew it was more halo and gears of war and nothing else. Forza was a given...but other than that.... Let's just imagine that it's 2007, and the only franchises Nintendo has, is Kirby,Mario and like...Yoshi or nintendogs.... That's where Microsoft is at. 25 years in the market, with no real characters or franchises or world's to call their own, that are beloved and have evolved time n time again, up stepping the bar to the standard of quality....most why I've been sick of Microsoft for a decade. the whole "switch has no games" actually applies to Xbox, and has for a very long time now
