I used to have 1964 mg midget in my teens. I tuned it up with a stage 2 cam and twin mgb carbs and mistakenly with a competition clutch. It was so high revving that the worn out gearbox bearings prevented gear change at high revs. It was lethal in the wet. The pedals were too close together for my big feet. I doubt I could even get in one now being 5 stone heavier. I broke the crankshaft in the end, the 1098cc engine was never meant for the kind of abuse I gave it. But I did make money when I sold it, surprisingly.

Nice story 😂Yes, the pedals are somehow always much too close together in English cars, and I'm unfortunately also aware of the increasing body proportions myself. But somehow I like the small cars and squeeze into them. When you sit in one, it's really comfortable. This one has an original 1275 engine and I hope I won't have any problems.😉
