  Hey Katie, love your videos! Could you make a video on uploading videos to TPT. For instance, I hear that some use Google slides and some even upload to Unlisted KZread to sell their slide presentations. Is that something you can discuss in a video?

  I have yet to try the Google business setup, but I hesitate as I live far away from the wealthy suburbs and main university campuses where I have gotten most of my students. Aside from getting clients from WyzAnt (and University Tutor long ago), none of the other approaches have worked in my own personal experience. Several of the affluent schools in the area do not want any interactions between teachers and outside private tutors, and flyers have been a colossal waste of time in the past. Any referrals I get are random and sporadic from clients I have helped over two decades. I wonder if there's another avenue I have not considered. 🤔

  I just set up my first class, geared towards elementary aged students. Is there a way to add a section of the same class for middle schoolers? I would like to duplicate my class but just put middle school grades in where it asks the age group that I am teaching. It is an Intro to Piano course, so you can see why I would like 2 different age groups. I am new to Outschool and just set up my first class! Thank you so much for all of your help!

  Do I need to reset my settings each time I start a new zoom meeting? Do my students adjust all of their settings as well?

  Once you set up the settings the first time you should have a button that says "Original Sound Off/On" in the top left corner of your Zoom screen and you do have to click that once at the start of each call to turn it on

  These suggestions are only useful if you are looking for students who live nearby. If your target market is thousands of kilometres away in another continent most of them are redundant. Sites like Preply mostly have very low hourly rates. $5 an hour might be a good in Bangladesh or parts of Africa, but in a country such as USA it will buy only crumbs.

  The problem as I see it as far as posting lots of class ideas and seeing what sticks is that you need to be ready to actually teach the class if someone signs up. It's a lot of work to prepare to teach one class. Even if they are all related, it's too much to be experimenting on the platform with several classes at one time. That is if that is what you are saying.

  Girlie, I would suggest getting links for your actual teaching platform in the description of every video. If they have referral links for families looking for courses, a link to that would be even better!!! I know you have that for teachers to apply, but most likely, your viewers also are mommas that may want to use for their kiddos ❤. Just something I randomly thought of while looking at your video description

  Does OutSchool offer a way for teachers to create a setup that is similar to YT Playlists? (Only example I can think of lol). Just thought it’d be a great way to provide a convenient way for those searching but also marketing. Example: If making a marketing piece for SM about a new reading course, it’d be wonderful to be able to say, “Maybe this course is too (I.E.) advanced for your child…. Be sure to go check out my other reading courses to find the best for them”
