Sick people these rodeo freaks. The Torture of these animals is outrageous. There was a rodeo down the road from me that was shut down because of animal rights and people getting killed or maimed. They would have audience members come down and wrestle cows or hog tie calves and they got hurt sometimes. Can you say Law suit

It's amazing how the half hour Western works so well. Other examples being The Rifleman and Johnny Ringo.

This film proves how much standards of education have fallen, thanks to that idiot professor John Dewey. Nothing as good as this has been written since the 1940's.

This was a good movie showing how prevalent the class system was then as it is now. Anne Shirley was perfect as always and her beautiful Noah Beery was good to see how handsome he was before being James Garner's dad in The Rockford Files. This movie rates a golden 10.

This is one of Anne Shirley's finest movies and she played the part beautifully. She was a great actress and delivered her best. I rate this movie a golden 10 and recommend it highly.

I almost passed over this movie but decided to watch to see what it was about. Once I saw Anne Shirley's name and Margaret Hamilton I knew I was in for a doozy and I was correct. This was wonderfully enjoyable and I rate this a golden 10. It's worth the view.

Upon reading the description, I only care to add that 85% or more book or play to movie adaptations have things changed, added or taken from for the variety of reasons they feel the need to do so. Most people probably aren't even aware a movie came from a book a large portion of the time, myself included. And some, even if avid readers/book lovers find out after seeing the movie don't necessarily want to compare the differences.

I still remember her from TEN COMMANDMENTS. She was exquisite...and she's very pretty in this, and quite the 'fiery' gal . I like the way the episode resolves and she ties it all together with Vin, when they decide to stay together and marry...

The g1rl starring in this video l00ks very similar to the g1rl who stars in a video on m1 ch4nn3l titled "El mej0r Str1ptease de la TV - The Best Stripte4se from TV". Will it be the same girl?

Thank you for your comment. Although similar in appearance, the two women do not seem to be the same girl. Isabelle also resembles American model Bettie Page.

Joan Leslie was Warners' go-to "Girl-next-door" in dozens of pictures in the 1940's. Pathe', which was a player in the features business before being absorbed into RKO in 1932 (Eagle-Lion was a joint British-American venture after WW II, with Pathe' as a lead partner), gives Joan a chance in a lead role. And yeah, she was quite lovely.

There's a flaw in the script starting at timemark ~42:35. It's when the two detectives confront the character, Ms. Rankin, in the beauty parlor. She is the wife going undercover. The script should have created more tension by having the policemen articulate the very real danger to her of continuing -- after all, the gang has already killed the husband -- because of the ruthlessness of the car theft gang. Instead of heightening the dramatic tension at that point, the younger cop merely acquiesces in the older cop's suggestion of an additional 24 hours. Maybe such a plot element -- "You'll be dead, Ms. Rankin, if there is any misstep, as dead as your late husband" -- had been included but was dropped in editing. What are your thoughts? `
