  These homes out in the IE are grossly overpriced. They need to drop by 20% to justify the expense imho. There isn’t a job within a reasonable distance that’ll provide the salary needed to purchase one of these homes

  I understand what you are saying but this is what’s affordable for each individual that buys out here. Many of my clients relocate from coastal cities saying it’s unaffordable in their city and would rather get more home for less cost. Plus they also have the option of working from home a few times a week or it’s remote.

  @@JuanCoolRealtor if one is able to work remote it would make financial sense to relocate to a superior location such as Austin which has several key advantages. 1) Greater access to amenities 2) No state income tax 3) Higher quality of home construction 4) Wider array of builder choices 5) Significantly better schools 6) Significantly less commuting 7) availability of higher paying jobs all within reasonable driving distance if necessary. When considering to move out to such a remote location, it would make sense to consider buying out of state at this price for the reasons I provided. It would be a pretty big upgrade for the same amount of money with less crime to boot. I own homes in both states and I’d choose central Texas over the IE any day of the week at these prices. Plus central Texas is green as opposed to being a desert.

  The only area in Perris/Hemet that is not grossly overpriced is at downtown Perris. They are building a new downtown here. South Perris Metrolink stop will have new homes around someday for higher-income families.
