  @ImamWisamSharieff Asalaamu 'alaikum dear Ustadh, I wanted to advise that (acc. to what I learned) the Makhraj of Kha [ خ ] is where the root of the tongue meets the soft palate/uvula. It should be softer sound and have hams, not jar. If the Kha sounds harsh, i.e. with a lot of friction, or like snoring, or a grinding sound, then it is probably due to the tongue producing the sound at the *hard palate* of the mouth, and excessive pressure between the articulators - this disrupts the airflow, which will make it sound as if it is a letter of Jahr. And Allah knows best. Jazak Allahu khairan for these wonderful videos! I benefit a great deal.

  The reason we don’t write Alif after hamza, in Arabic language we don’t write alif after hamza if it’s preceded by another alif like: السمآءً، hamza shouldn’t be between two alifs.

  0:19 it took me a bit over 2 hours today to memorise the last 8 Ayats of Surah Layl including some bits from the first 13 Ayats which I forgot , is this normal/good pace?
