    This is actually disturbing. Because ıf the reader has no idea about who Palpatine is,they might actually beleive him.

    The fact that Jyn has been abandoned by her loved ones all her life, and then Cassian comes back to her here… the fact that he saves her from the man who destroyed her life and who she likely has had nightmares about since childhood; he’s like an angel saving her from her worst demon. Incredibly beautiful writing.

    One of the best parts of the novelization is getting to see inside Jyn's head; Alexander Freed did a great job.

    So how does Naare know Anakin? She mentioned his name..

  • @StarWarsOpinion
    @StarWarsOpinion17 күн бұрын

    Anakin was the public face of the Jedi Order during the Clone Wars and "officially" died protecting the Chancellor/fighting the Jedi during the attempted coup so it's unsurprising that Naare knows of him.

    I love how even despite his clear dislike of him, Palpatine still has enough respect for Plagueis to refer to him not as “The Dark Lord” or “An old Sith,” but instead, as “Darth Plagueis the Wise.” He may not have liked him, but he was _still_ his master, the man who taught him everything he knew. A part of him, I think, might have even seen Plagueis as his father, and loved him accordingly. _A small part,_ mind you, but a part none the less.

    I wonder what`s the intended purpose of that little light near his goggles that switches from blue to red.

  • @StarWarsOpinion
    @StarWarsOpinionАй бұрын

    I believe it's some sort of antennae since the goggles serve as an interface with the ship's systems. Alternatively, it could be a camera allowing him to see his surroundings.

    It wouldn't have mattered if he succeeded. Palpatine would just have someone else become the Grand moff and control the Death Star, like Krennic

  • @fotppd1475
    @fotppd147516 күн бұрын

    @@sethmoss8671 That is for sure. However the worst thing about Tarkin where that 1) His...less than sane philosophy. (Especially considering how popular it became even before the Empire which made things worse.) And 2) That he was a competent madman. Krennic on the other hand, was quite arrogant and self-centered, neither traits of which would help him as grand Moff. If anything, in the off chance the Rebels could not get him, Vader would. Many in the Empire where replaceable. But there is always a reason the replacement did not get the rank in question in the first place.

    I’ve noticed for a while now that the bit starting at 3:44 sounds surprisingly similar to Kevin Kiner’s Ahsoka theme from the clone wars, I have no clue if that’s an intentional choice on Kiner’s part or just a happy coincidence. Probably just a coincidence, but a funny one. Guess there’s only so many notes and combinations of them you can do.
