  These don't come into the power band until higher RPM's. Mine don't engage until 10K RPM's, and it's instant with the steel clutch shoes I run.

  @@zigabizjak9682 That is true, but these motors don't get into the power band until around 8K RPM's, I know mine doesn't, that's why I run the high RPM clutch. It bogs at lower RPM's and doesn't get into power until half throttle, but that's how I built my motor. I run mine on pure Methanol and it rips. I'm running a stroker crank with a race ported head.

  This Vesla absolutely needs to be geared down a bit, It's running about 2K rpm low. Lower gearing would let it rev, maybe even pick up a couple mph on top. Years ago, couldn't figure out how my friends baja's with $100 chinese 29cc's could keep up with my 36 baja's. Gearing! They were geared lower, that let the little 29 scream!

  Would love to have seen 36 rovan on same track as the Taylor. Taylor certainly would have won, but by how much? Remember, Rovan 36 is a $180 basic piston port, that Taylor is a reed case, easily $1,000. Now put the $280 Rovan 45cc in there, I own 2 AND 2 OBR 34reed cases, the cheap Rovan 45 wins! Ridiculous torque, my baja is running 19/55 gears and Redcat MT 81/2" tires, 2 1/2 lbs each and wheelies halfway down the straights!

  Looks like its running good and good to see someone still bashing the MTXL, my MTXL is out of action as I blew a tyre doing donuts last time out 😆, being in Thailand its impossible to get a tyre so looks like I'll have to order a full set of the rovan xlt wheels and tyres... I've got a baja sitting in bits just now so may just throw the baja wheels on the MTXL so I can at least get out for a bash...
