What up Rio. I'm in the market for a 2017 740i. Can you tell me what major problems if any you've encountered? The one I have my eyes on has 66k miles, No accidents, a clean title, and 3 owners.

Missed the M performance package. The dead steering kills the otherwise OK ride. Sorry.

A locking centre differential is just to convert an AWD car into a 4WD....i.e in 4WD the power is split 50/50....you can't do that on high traction surfaces, so you need a center differential to allow slip between the front and rear axles when on the road in AWD mode. I dont know why people think "center diff lock" is a feature like a difflock.... it's literally a mechanical requirement to allow the car to switch between AWD and 4WD.

The NX competes with the Acura RDX. Not the MDX. The MDX competes with the Lexus RX 350 L. Good review though.

First rule to own a luxury car is to have money, besides that you should use synthetic oil, frequent oil changes and 93 octane gas, don’t forget transmission and transfer case maintenance and the vehicle will go to your funeral.

Waited 3 years for this car to depreciate. I've looked at the Base 911, Aston Martin Vantage, C63s and more. This is the best car in their price range. Grabbed this for $65K with 20K miles CPO /w warranty.

M8 comp gran coupe is slightly faster while costing damn near $40,000 more. Really not worth the extra cash unless you are obsessed with the fastest 0-60/ quarter mile times, but even then you'll be tuning your vehicle so whatever the car is stock wont matter for long. Also considering the N63TU2 in the latest M850i is easily the best sounding BMW the company makes by a mile and a half. S63TU3 in the M8 comp sounds great but them N model engines are so much more throaty with the right amount of burbles its quite literally the perfect sounding car and its all from factory.

If price wasn’t a concern, 2” mopar lift with 18” rims with 37” tires would be ideal for you? What about sticking with, in my case, the 20” inch stock wheels?

Great review. I ♥️ the 7.5. I’ve had a ‘17 mk7 SE since ‘18. I’m thinking of upgrading to ‘21 Audubon. The mk8’s have been out for a few years and the design has grown on me. Initially I was off put by the exterior but seeing them around now for 2 years I’ve warmed up but I still don’t really want one 😂. I’m still partial to the 7.5.

I’m under the impression that you like a more traditional type of car. You’re correct that an RS is no daily driver but I’ve never met anyone owning one (myself included) who would daily it. It’s like wearing a tuxedo every day all year round. Not the right tool for the job. However- as a “toy” driven 2-3 three times a week in the summer, and perhaps a couple of track days per year, there is no substitute. IMO too many sports cars are soft. Austin Martin comes to mind. I’m actually very comfortable in the carbon buckets and (mine’s a 991.2RS) swapping the center exhaust to a well designed aftermarket is not crazy loud- it keeps the valves so when you drive below 4000 rpm it’s not loud, neighbours don’t complain and during through town doesn’t give you stink-eye looks- 14:06 and even above that it’s not crazy loud unless you are accelerating hard. Finally yes the suspension is stiff but I’ve had worse. So again, not a daily driver but absolutely not uncomfortable on most roads and not obnoxious when driving civilly through town. Not sure if the 991.1RS has exhaust valves so that may be why you found it a little obnoxious
