Way more storage than necessary, and not near enough counter space for folding laundry

Wait you mounted a round tenon between your legs, all while making a stool? Freud would have had a field day.

I hate to be "thar guy," but you covered up a socket, and there's no handles on the cabinets above the washer and dryer. Great job ( apart from the above).

I am still concerned about what happens when you have to replace the washer and dryer because when I replaced mine, the new ones were half an inch taller.

Wouldn't be better/stronger to have placed the top of the cabinet on top of the walls instead of relying on just the screws to hold the weight of things being placed on the counter top? I'm not a cabinet maker but the way it's made just the screws are holding it instead of the walls of the cabinet. Thanks, love the channel. Keep up the great work Jason.

you made me look it up... and apparently it's a wheelbarrow because a barrow is a word that means; "a luggage trolley. or a two-wheeled handcart used especially by street vendors." So a wheelbarrow is a variation of a barrow. Which means an open barrel could be used as a barrow or a wheelbarrow if you give it wheels and handles. Strange.

Just curious why one wouldn't use a pice of 3/4" ply as the back panel vs the 1/4" ply plus top and bottom nailers, plus the under-mount bracket scrap nailer pieces. Seems like it would be less steps, sufficient to use as a nailer, and make the whole thing more rigid?

I added 4 of these corner style cabinets to my kitchen cabinet remodel and it was miserable to work with. I now know why cabinets are squares and rectangles 😄

I have a question. Would it be beneficial to have your laminate inset so there's a bit of lip on the surface of the hard Maple edging?

For the measuring of a diameter or cylinder. A piece of string will work too. Wrap it around, mark it, and then put it up to a rule

Thanks for the video; I'm about to embark on a DIY flooring project and this certainly helps! I love the trick where you used the square to make a temporary lever. I think I might be able to use something like that in more than a few different projects. Also gives me the confidence to just go ahead and buy the bump nailer, since we're planning to do a number of rooms in wood flooring. You probably said it, but what guage was each nailer? 16 gauge? Also, only thing I'd personally do differently is fill in some of the knots and gouges in pine like that with some epoxy and then sand it down in place. Great work!

doesn't set off with 'wet' wood as it was just water and clean water is not very conductive. try cutting the treated lumber which is usually treated with copper it'll set it off as it's way more conductive.

I get the point of adding as much storage as you can, but i would have thought that having a decent amount of usable counter top would be just as important in a laundry room. So i dont really understand why you would end up covering 3/4 of the butcher block you just installed? Why not have the upper cabinets only come down half or 2/3rd the way so you could at least fit a laundry basket underneath them and have a decent amount of bench top realestate to use. As far as i can tell, you pissed away half the money you spent on the butcher block tops just to cover them up.

Funny video, but unfortunately, it's not that easy to find alternative lumber places for most of us. A staged phone call and visit to a store you're probably all ready familar with isn't reality. I live in rural PA, and it is *impossible* to find anyone that sells anything besides construction lumber within a 200 mile radius even. I have bad social anxiety on top, its difficult for me to call and talk to all these random businesses asking for lumber for woodworking projects... I've gotten a combination of reactions. For being in the lumber business, so many seem to scratch their head if it's something besides a 2x4 or OSB, or even get irritated by it. It leaves me feeling like an idiot sometimes, when all I'm trying to do is buy lumber and give someone some business. I'm sure the prices suck, but it's the only option for some of us to go to big box stores. There's no awkwardness of calling random businesses on Google, or going far out of your way. I prefer Lowes, they have a decent selection of lumber if I need new stuff. The past couple years, I have entirely built things out of scrap or reclaimed lumber from stuff family and friends were throwing out. I have the tools and techniques now to work with any wood.

His lie about the sign is showing how deranged this guy is. There is a standard sign regulation in the Springs. They didnt permit thier sign.

Water doesn’t leave the concrete, it becomes part of it in the curing process. If it dries it cracks and becomes weak. If you want to prove it, weigh some cement, add water, weigh it again, let it cure, weigh it again. Something related is water of hydration. Take some epsom salts and heat them up, they will start to look like they are melting far below their melting point. What’s happening in that case is that you are driving out the bound water which is dissolving the salt.

I just watched and was totally amused ! Great video- finished product was terrific. Enjoyed your humor throughout as well. If I was to try to copycat it - Which I won't, I think one thing to improve it would be to start it on a couple pallets or something like that - then you could drill from the bottom and release moisture from the sand. also - if you had a skid steer then you could move it easily. also - maybe oil or Vaseline on the pipe threads would keep it from seizing up. I don't know but - Man, I hope you boys had a couple drinks after that !! Kudos !!!!
