Heh. Well. So, I'm an international relations and european politics master's student. I have a teacher who specializes on the immigration crisis and you know, humanitarian ways of dealing with it. In 2013, she went to Bruxelles to present a pretty important paper warning of this but when she got there, she was at first rejected when they found out about her topic and barely managed to present in front of a room filled with both academics and politicians. They didn't boo her or anything when she finished, she just finished in complete and utter silence. No one said anything, there was a questioning time and no one asked any questions. Everyone wanted her off stage for fear of sparking controversy. Well, look where we are now. And she was totally right, and it's not like immigrants will stop coming, and there's probably loads of other academics who don't have their heads stuck up their asses and have warned of this. In fact, she theorizes that the next wave of immigrants will be even worse.

Norway might be rich. But not the people living here. Our politicians are too busy wasting millions and billions of dollars on inviting terrorists (Taliban) for a meeting in Oslo with Private jet, or splitting/merging counties together (wasted 900 Million NOK on this project). Those are just a couple examples out of many... Our politicians are more interested in giving money to all other countries around the world so they can get most media coverage for how "amazing" and "kind hearted" Norway is. They will only get media coverage in Norway if the politicians helped their own people... We, the people of Norway should have a part in what this money should be used for. Not EU or our imbecile politicians. Norway was already stupid enough to do ACER, and the consequences of that was electrical bills that was 5-6 times larger than it used to. My parents came here in the early 2000s, I was born and raised here. I remember so vividly the migration crisis because not only did my parents - middle easterns themselves - tell me to stay away from them, our schools gym was filled with migrants and then it was surrounded by an iron fence. They were portrayed like in a freaking zoo. The whole system is broken and as an immigrant who had to fear for us to get sent back to where we came from, it is absolutely INSANE to see the short times people have to endure in order to gain a passport. My father arrived in 2000 and had to wait 11 years - now people can get them after five years only. The system needs a reform, everything here needs a reform itself. The country is more divided than ever before, the politicians don't help either and there's a huge growing of right winged extremists. We NEED well educated immigrants immediately - especially in the health sections - but we won't reform for the better. It's sad to see what this country has become - I'm proud to say I was born and raised here, now not even germans have national pride..

My familiy migrated to Germany 70 years ago, my grandfather was recruited by a company. Even though we are academics I suffered from rascism my whole life here. The whole argument about refugees being the inevitable and required solution for the demographic change has been a ridiculous lie from the start. The key problem here being the pension system. The money you pay isn't being invested at all. Instead, it is more like a ponzi scheme where the working people finance the pensions through taxes. These politicians could work out on how to transition this broken and obsolete pension system to a more investment-based and futureproof system, to get rid of this dependency of having enough people paying taxes for the pensions. Or in the worst case get rid of the pension system entirely. But oh well, obviously the demographic change isn't the real reason why we took in so many refugees...

Immigration ist per se kein Problem für Deutschland. Ich habe selbst Migrationshintergrund. Aber als meine Eltern her gekommen sind, wollten wir Deutsche werden und nicht nur in Deutschland leben. Ich glaube weiterhin dass die größten Probleme bei der Einwanderung kulturelle Unterschiede, genauer gesagt religiöse Unterschiede sind. Menschen, die Probleme haben andersartige zu akzeptieren (Behinderte, Homosexuelle, Christen, Frauen) sind schlecht für unsere tolerante Gesellschaft und sollten aufhören unser Land mit ihrer Ideologie der Intoleranz zu vergiften. Es ist schon seltsam, dass ich noch kein einziges mal gehört habe, dass irgendwelche ukrainische Gangs hier ärger machen im Gegensatz zu Afghanen, Syrern, Arabern, Marokkanern. Woran kann das wohl liegen? Warum ist es so, dass aus der Ukraine fast nur Frauen und Kinder flüchten, aus Syrien hingegen zum Großteil alleinstehende Männer kommen? Für mich ist es einfach: wer herkommt sollte auch den Willen haben sich anzupassen und die Kultur hier zumindest respektieren. Wenn ich zu Besuch bei Anderen bin, ist es für mich ja auch selbstverständlich die Schuhe auszuziehen. Das ist einfach eine Respektsache, nichts anderes.
