  Frankly Hao, Mathew, Taerae, Gunwook has very good vocal. No.9 Yujin really needs improvement in his singing, he is only good in dancing.

I suggest starting with the black and white Live Performances, these were the first content YG released of the members to get people hooked. Some awesome performances. Then continue with their individual Introduction videos where you can learn more about each members. The character playlist is also worth a watch and they are pretty short. Most reactors react to the character playlist after the Introduction. Last but not least, is the show The Last Evaluation. This show is amazing. It shows a lot of behind the scene content; different types of missions, how the girls work and help each other and some of the ups and downs the members had to go through.   SITM: ✨☁️🎹☁️✨I was captivated after my first viewing, and completely mesmerized on subsequent ones! Ruka in the stunning red dress at the start of the video is standing on her darkened world 🌑 caused by her unrequited love. The single flower 🌷 represents a glimmer of hope for her love. Note how the single flower on a dead world is very much like Disney’s Wall-E! The rest of the video/song is Mulan looking Ruka’s daydream. Rora grabs our soul in her Jasmine green dress after Pharita’s first verse, and later as Rora is playing on the piano 🎹. Chiquita is captivating, especially in the opening scene as she looks into the camera and melts us, and Pharita’s angelic lyrics include “…let it go” (with it repeated as an echo) which is an homage to Disney’s Frozen, as is the stairway to heaven later in the video and Rami’s beautiful blond braided hair. Asa and Ruka both stun us walking on a pathway of stars which might be an homage to Disney’s Wish. There are other Disney references such as Rami on the small island looking like The Little Mermaid, the pond for The Princess & the Frog, and I’m sure several more. For their ages this is such a perfect song & video! ✨☁️✨☁️✨☁️✨☁️

  Before you turned on the caption for Reason, it said “Because of Insomnia” then “Dreamcatcher exists”. That statement sets the tone and gives more meaning to the interpretation of the song. Glad to have you on the DC train.

  Dreamcatcher holds the record for girl groups in Kpop for the longest time between debut and first show win at 1923 days. (Brave Girls took longer but had member changes along the way. NU'EST holds the record for boy groups with no line up changes at 2610 days.) And so the Dreamcatcher women and InSomnia were pretty wrecked when they finally won for Maison. There still were no studio audiences allowed at that point, and the women just thought they were being called to the stage for some promotional filming.   Ruka and Asa may be fast at memorizing movements, but the most appropriate movement posture is Chiquita, the way she dances is exactly the same as Lisa who always goes all out, you can compare their videos, but many people think that quickly memorizing movements is the same as being good at dancing.

  i also wasn't that into rock so i didn't think i would listen to dreamcatcher that much when i first heard them. but they just kept growing on me over time and now they are pretty much my favorite group. their whole discography is so re-listenable for me, and the high energy and rock songs are great for working out

  i feel like since you don't really like rock you should get into their b sides they have so many different genres you could really enjoy.. i suggest listen to Dystopia: The Tree of Language album b-sides they are so versatile and straight up BOPS

  As an InSomnia since day 1 yes Reason is a special song. They struggle for years doing whatever they could to get their names out there. From performing on the streets and going up to random people to introduce themselves to FINALLY getting their 1st win. It's been hard for the girls and frustrating for the fans for not being able to get them to the top but eventually they made it to the top.

  "parallel worlds", an important thing to remember with Dreamcatcher 😏 "BEcause" is absolutely more pop than rock. Pop music definitely occasionally has some driving guitars. It feels more rock than typical pop/rock tracks but still very melodic. Imo.

  "Reason" is very special because it was released on the day of their sixth anniversary, about two months after they renewed their contracts, thus overcoming the seven-year curse in K-pop girl groups' history. The rap lines in the first verse were performed by Dami (main rapper) and SuA (lead rapper), while the final rap line was performed by both Dami and Gahyeon. Notably, Gahyeon was not originally part of the rap line until "Piri." The two original rappers are Dami and SuA, with SuA stepping away from rapping in the middle of their career to focus more on singing. The rap lines beautifully represent how Dreamcatcher has prospered from debut until now. The part where they show their music show win will always bring InSomnias to tears. It took them 5 years, 3 months, and 7 days (or 1,923 days) to get a music show trophy, making them the girl group with the longest time between debut and their first music show win. They are truly a symbol of hope and perseverance.

  BEcause is heavily influenced by the American horror movie "Us," which is why there are many representations of doppelgangers in the music video. The song itself narrates how an intense love can become an obsession, contributing to the eerie, occult vibe. It is also stylized as "BEcause" because the Hanja character for "BE" is "悲," which means sadness. Obsessive love and embracing one's crazy side are rooted in loneliness. You can also visualize 悲 through their choreography, as their hand and finger movements during the chorus resemble the Chinese character. Another fun fact is that they sampled "Für Elise." It's a fan theory that "Für Elise" also represents crazy love in the song because of the backstory of how Beethoven composed it for his student, whom he liked. It is theorized that Beethoven changed it into a complex composition when she refused his marriage proposal, making it difficult for her to learn or play.

  Their first win clip is the cheat. Without that it's still possible to hold tears, but since it's embedded in, there's no way for fans from pre-Maison to hold tears
