my image size always gets smaller after exporting from affinty. spend hours trying to figure out why. still no solution. i wish i never purchased this stupid app. not user freindly at all

Coming from Photoshop, the band pass here seems thorough and integrated. Unlike those in Photoshop that date back to the 80s and have been completely orphaned
great workshop. but I can't help to think that the "Tutor" sounds a bit like an A.I.
Two years ago, being precise and measured with your speech was a good thing! I do it so the videos are easy to understand for non-native English speakers. Now, it seems everyone just assumes it's "AI" ☹

Hello I just got Affinity 2 and have never used it for photography before When you say documents do you mean Photos?
the fact that i had to look this up on youtube... the german translation is terrible. under Edit it should say "wiederrufen - hintergrund entfernen" (UNDO - remove background) like it says in the video, but in affinity photo 2 it says "hintergrund entfernen wiederrufen" (remove background undo). so you never find it when looking for the word "wiederrufen" (undo) because it says remove background first and thats not what I'm looking for.

Well if anything will put you off going for this software this video will do it. Instead of showing how easy and intuitive it is you made it look complicated and only for geeks. I know you were showing some of the new features but let's keep it real. 👎
I've been searching how to unlink a mask from the layer in order for the mask to stay static while I move the layer independently
Is there a video for setting up Affinity to behave as though I'm drawing on paper with a pencil when using a drawing display? I can't quite seem to get it right.
Affinity really excels at making automated tasks and batch work easy. Love it for astro and focus stacks.

🤐Hello Everyone, I have the three affinity systems for six years, also the 2. Version, but can't cope with it at all. There are no official videos in German that you can understand when watching and learning. English is very difficult if you can't speak 100% English. Therefore, I look forward to official videos with subtitles or / and videos that are recommended by you. Learning from the ground up but for understanding in the German language. Otherwise, Affinity should reimburse my money completely, because you expect more than 300 EUR and also full support. Thank you for your help and any passing it on to customer service. Leider die offiziellen Videos Alle ohne Untertitel. Für Menschen die NICHT Englisch perfekt verstehen ist es MEGA schwer alles zu verstehen oder erst einmal zu lernen. Wann Ändert ishc das endlich oder wird nachgeholt. Erfordert ein parr Stunden für Alle Videos aber ist für die deutschsprechenden Manschen mehr als hilfreich. Bezahlt haben wir ALLE mehr als genug.

I just downloaded Affinity Photo for trial purposes and I'm loving how easy and powerful it is to use! Definitely considering swtiching from Photoshop to Affinty Photo.
I’ve seen tutorials where the adjustment layer is shown along the bottom of the screen instead of a floating box on the screen. Is this only available for users with a larger iPad screen? The floating boxes are inconveniently covering more of a photo while adjusting than a bar along the bottom. I’d really appreciate any help with this.
Great video, just to add Alt clicking the new mask will also create a blank mask, no need to right click the mask icon on windows 👍
what if my light ray is circular?
I know this can also be used as a Lightroom alternative - but Affinity needs a proper more user friendly Lightroom alternative - this is what I'm looking for to move away from Adobe.

Thank you but how do you see the image below after you've clicked the Alt/Opt on the mask? In other words, how do we get that red mask to appear as we do in the refine tool....or is that how to do it...only through the refine tool?
Yo recibo fotos por Wattsapp o correo en tamaños muy específicos. En Adobe las copio de Wattsapp y las pego directo al tamaño que vienen con el simple hecho de crear un documento nuevo, en automático me da el tamaño al que vienen. Es muy útil si quieres ver un anuncio o a fotografía a su tamaño real o simplemente pasarlo directo por un programa de fotografía y evitar que se dañe al usarlo directo a la computadora o al iPad y después en redes sociales, imprimirlo, utilizarlo en viejos sistemas de periódicos o revistas. En Affinity no me deja, ya tiene tamaños determinados para crear un documento nuevo, tengo que pegarlo y ajustarlo después. Si, trae muchos tamaños, muchas opciones y puedes hacerlo manual ¿pero para qué si puedo ahorrármelo con Adobe?

Given that I found no information whatsoever, it seems almost as if nobody knows, cameras offer a monochrome shooting mode, resulting in alerady black and white jpegs and raw images with recoverable colour information. Since at least my Canon R not only comes with a black and white viewfinder image, but also simulates yellow, orange, red, etc. filters, I wonder wether images shot that way, require different edits.

This frankly beats the snot out of Lightroom. At least on an individual photo basis. Now creating batches to apply the same correction across a range of photos would make the Develop Persona beyond amazing.
