Very interesting But won’t the Silent Partner (assuming it fails) collide with the Defuser and mess everything up?

The way I’d set it up before the fuse would force the clove on the silent partner to tighten if it failed, with this setup the defuse is present and I feel more comfortable as it would keep the impact on the rope lower if the fuse ended up taking a hard fall. Collision doesn’t concern me as much as this.

@@gavincytlau265 I actually climbed twice with the SP on lead (normal MT cache loop). It felt awkward the first time. I did not like how I needed to pull on the rope to clip. Just makes me think that using the technique I use with the clove hitch on carabiners would help clipping (a little bit). The second time I sent my proj: a mighty traverse in a hand crack. Pretty happy about the SP overall.
