    How dare you assume those poor fish identities!! What if they decided they wanted to identify as rainbow powered squirrels that only come out at dawn? Just kidding 😂I really like your tank setup. Im doing mine right now.

    yes important point about water changes. The more water changes you do, the more your tank becomes like your tap water. If you had an aquarium and changed 80% of the water every week then essentially you have a tank full of tap water😢 not a desirable thing to have. I have one like that in my home. It is my bathtub.

  • @thesolaraquarium
    @thesolaraquarium4 ай бұрын

    new sub. only just discovered your very interesting deep sand bed DSB aquariums. 16cm… wow that is impressive. Question: I am assuming that you top off evaporation with tap water (ie to replace water salts used up by the plants)? Is that correct? As you do no water changes i would expect your plants need this. Do you remove plant material/ cuttings like Walstad does?

  • @peterpanch
    @peterpanch3 ай бұрын

    Hello.. i top up mostly. All 3-4 Month i do a Waterchange. I put out alot of plants at the same time.

    @@peterpanch thankyou. Very interesting. New to your channel but I understand your family has been doing this a long time… decades. I am finding plants really are dependent on light intensity and nutrients. The higher the light, the greater the demand. Lower light levels are safer. But I like to push the limits. At high light levels (sunlight) I am finding water hardness is a problem (water goes too acid) unless buffered.

    Hi, does this mean you can also put Somfy IO screens on KNX ? I'm looking for a LONG time for a solution to control Somfy IO screens with KNX. Currently I have a Somfy Switch, but here is no possibility to connect to my KNX system.

    Great tanks - Any reason you are still using fluorescent lights? And are you aware of the walstad method? This looks very close to that (her tanks use gardening soil and are often placed in front of a window).

  • @peterpanch
    @peterpanch3 ай бұрын

    Yes, i use fluorescent lights because the tubes are really cheap. For now i dont like to invest in LED Lights.

    Ich bin im Hotel "Tropical" am Plaza del Charco. Nix besonderes. Wer Luxus erwartet, der ist hier falsch. Ich wollte etwas im Zentrum. Und nur zum Schlafen und Klamotten trocken halten reicht es. Bin eh nur zum Schlafen im Zimmer. Falls Du etwas mehr haben willst, dann empfehle ich das Hotel Monopol.

    Viel zu kompliziert und zu viele Komponenten. Einfach direkt mit MDT JAL-0410D.02 ansteuern und fertig. WICHTIG: Falls ihr den Fenster-/Rolladenmotor bereits mit der Velux Peripherie verwendet habt, müsst ihr ihn vorher einmal reseten damit es funktioniert. (z.B. über Velux KUX)

    Wir sind ihn letzte Woche gefahren, durch die Stadt. Eine Katastrophe. Lauter Motor. Sehr lautes Gebläse, wenn man die Heizung anmacht geht man vor Hitze ein, auch wenn es draußen nur 8 Grad warm ist (geht nur an oder aus). Heizung aus bedeutet - Scheiben beschlagen. 12 KM Stadtverkehr verbrauchen 20% des Akkus. Sicherheitstechnisch unterirdisch. Bremsen wie beim Käfer vor 50 Jahren. Für 5.000 00 Euro wäre das Teil als Einkaufsauto ganz witzig. Insgesamt eine komplette Fehlkonstruktion für den Preis.

    Die Brutpflege übernimmt nur Er! Was machst du mit dem ganzen Nachwuchs?

  • @peterpanch
    @peterpanch7 ай бұрын

    Normal lasse ich die im Aquarium. Die Natur übernimmt den Rest. Es sind viele Schwimmpflanzen im Becken. So könnten sich die Kleinen verstecken. Ab und zu ist so in den letzten Jahren mal einer oder zwei druchgekommen. Die Teenager kommen dann in das 125er Becken. Aktuell habe ich mal von den Roten Markropoden einen Fang rausgenommen und ziehe diese mit Artemia an. Im Dezember bin ich aber dann im Urlaub. Mal sehen, ob die gross genug werden bis dahin, um selbst klar zu kommen.

    Is that gravel on top of the sand of the 150L?

  • @peterpanch
    @peterpanch7 ай бұрын

    No. in the 125 Liter there is only black gravel. in the middle there is 1cm garden peat. But in mine experience for now simple playgroundsand i much better. Because the Malayan Snails can dig sand better than gravel.

  • @peterpanch

    Yes, simple Playgroundsand and Garden Peat. Nothing else. Garden peat gives much slower the nutrients to the Plants and water. same as in the garden.

    What is the name of the Lotus plant and how do you get rid of the nitrates?

  • @peterpanch
    @peterpanch7 ай бұрын

    It is a red tiger lotus. The Flower is from a green Lotus. The Nitrates and Ammonia are taken by fast growing plants. (Vallisneria and Hornwort). Also Duckweed helps to "eat" and control Nutrients. The more Nutrients - the more Duckweed.
