In the aftermath of nuclear war, he sat engulfed in flames amid a world reduced to ash. Surrounding him were the remnants of a civilization lost to atomic fire, each charred silhouette and fallen structure a stark reminder of human folly. The air, heavy with the scent of radioactive decay, echoed the silent cries of a planet scarred by conflict. As flames enveloped him, they seemed less like the harbingers of death and more like the final, defiant breath of a world unwilling to be forgotten. Here, in the heart of devastation, the fire became his testament and shield-burning brightly as both a beacon of the destruction wrought and the indomitable spirit that survives, a lone figure standing resilient in the face of oblivion, forever marked by the fire of war yet unbroken.

This gives me This War of Mine vibes, unsettling, yet with a glimmer of hope.

I'm a huge Warhammer fan and when I came across this it gave off the vibes of a bunch of Guardsmen of different regiments gathered around a burning tank listening to one playing knowing that odds are they aren't surviving.

It was not easy leaving the big city after the bombs hit, but going to the countryside wasn't easy either. Got to learn and adapt to many things. But somehow I'm still alive...

Today, 5th June 2024 I heard some news on the TV how NATO is preparing for a 2 decade war with Russia in Ukraine. Im in 2nd year in my faculty, in Romania, studying russian and german. Im listening to this while studying, the night before my russian exam. Im saying this weirdly and kind of corny, but I really hope I dont end up listening to these songs anywhere outside of my room but only while studying or playing some games.

Day #3649 My eyes jolted open this morning, heartbeat on my throat. I thought I would vomit, again. I can’t remember the nightmare. It must have been one of the bad ones if it caused such a ruckus to my system. It’s getting worse. The vomiting I mean. Twice this week already. Thrice if the daily trend keeps up. But at least It clears my mouth from that awful ashy texture. I can barely get any breathing out of my nose now, and the mouth cloth is soaked in soot. Every inhale comes with a flood of it. Makes my mouth feel like sandpaper. But I don’t have water to clean it. Not that I’d use water for cleaning in the first place. I don’t even know what I’ve been throwing up. Never bothered to look. Yesterday hunger kept me up. Not much of an appetite this morning though. Clear sign of dehydration. It’s made me cough more than usual. Drier than usual. Louder than usual. I don’t want to be heard by those things, again. It cost me my left last time, and that was when I at least had help around. Not such luck anymore. Since a while. But no matter. Dehydration will do me in sooner than they can get past the stairs. I’m not even going to bother making a trip today. A parting gift to myself. The one I can afford. I’m sure today it’ll be the last day I throw up. But at least I have this view to calm my senses. A patch in the sky. A hint of blue among the nuclear ash. Maybe I won’t die. Maybe this nuclear winter will preserve my body until it’s over. Until a particularly hot summer rolls around and defrosts my tomb. And then I’ll have the will to hunt. And look for water. And Live. Eventually the ashes swallowed the patch of blue. Today’s Glee for my departure, gone. Never got the pleasure to look at the fiery hue of sunset. But I didn’t throw up today. I might sleep.

Look around son, this place was once called Moscow. It was the center of it all, the most beautiful jewel of our country. Now it is the tombstone lying on top of this whole graveyard. - Major Khurtchev, 2054.

It was an noisy year, conflicts going up and down all over the world, but I thought it was the same thing as the usual, nobody dared to press that button but for my surprise, someone did. Me and my family were lucky to leave the big city before the major bombs drop out. Now we had to battle our way to the Caatinga ( tupi native for white forest ), all I saw was an grey dust falling from the skies.
