Botswana, just like Zambia, was a British protectorate, so it was colonized. Its colonial name was Bechuanaland. You talked about its independence when you talked about the currency, but you went on to say that it was never colonized. So what waa the independence from?

After independence Kuanda nationalised all the mines - just as a communist would. This led to Zambia’s eventual poverty. Today Zambia has vast mineral wealth but no capital & expertise to utilise & mine the minerals. Botswana discovered rich diamond pipes - realised the Govt had no expertise and capital to mine - so called in the experts - DeBeers. The agreement 50% of the profits to Botswana Govt & 50% to DeBeers. The difference today - Botswana embraced a capitalistic system whereas Zambia went the socialist and communist route. See the difference? See why Botswana is a shining light in dark black Africa! Communism is a disgusting policy that cannot work.

How is that one of the largest producers of diamonds in the world is not a developed nation for all its people. Not one major jewel store in the world is owned by Africans. The world, especially America and Europe enjoys their wealth of resources while the people remain in poverty. God, wake up Africa!

Every province in South Africa has atleast one city Mpumalanga: Witbank & Nelpspruit Kwa Zulu Natal: Durban, Pietermaritzburg & Richards Bay Freestate: Bloemfontein, Welkom & Sasolburg Eastern Cape: Gqeberha, eMonti & Mthatha Western Cape: Cape Town & George Northern Cape: Kimberly North West: Potchefstroom, Klerksdorp, Rustenburg & Mahikeng Limpopo: Polokwane Gauteng North: Pretoria, Centurion & the original Mabopane (which includes Soshanguve, Klipgat & Winterveld) South: Vereeneging & Vanderbijlpark East: Kempton Park, Benoni, Boksburg & Germiston West: Roodepoort, Soweto, Krugersdorp Central: Johannesburg, Sandton, Midrand, Randburg, Bedfordview It's just that our government refuses to give these cities an opportunity to run and grow on their own and club them into huge Metros so they could win elections and it's evident that it is just not working, Tshwane, Johannesburg, Ekhuruleni, Sedibeng & West Rand should be districts and not Municipalities, for example Tshwane, Centurion should be it's own Municipality, Pretoria should only take Eesterust, Mamelodi, Laudium & Atteridgeville to become a Municipality, Akasia should take Ga-Rankuwa & Pienaarsrivier & become one, Soshanguve, Mabopane & Winterveld should become one and then all fall under one Tshwane district, same as in Johannesburg Sandton should only be Sandton, Alex, Marlborough Gardens & Diepsloot should be the municipality of Sandton fall under the Johannesburg district

If you look at the post colonial world then there are only 4 countries which have been continuous democracies since 1970, India, Mauritius, Botswana and Costa Rica. Botswana is the world's fastest growing democracy from 1970 to present and India world's second fastest growing democracy in this period. Only those countries have grown faster than Botswana and India which implemented development oriented dictatorship and pushed one child policy. I am sure that Botswana would also be having issues but International media doesn't attack it because they have a population of 2.6 million but India has a population of 1.4 billion no wonder it is targeted. For example Myanmar has military dictatorship and Chin refugees fled to India but International media only reacted when Ram Mandir was built in India. Also, Chinese Communist Party, Open Society Foundation and Muslim Brotherhood are paying US dollars and giving toolkit to International media to target India.
