  I feel like it's implied that they ARE endgame, they just aren't back together YET. Like, after all these years, Sam is only dating other girls casually but still texts Mercedes? When they broke up, it was a maybe someday kinda thing. I think it's just a matter of them being ready to truly commit to each other.

  I’m super late but I have this head-canon of them getting married, hyphenating their names to Evans-Jones, having three kids, and Sam being the best stay at home dad leaving sticky notes of dad jokes in their kids lunches, and them having regular brunches w/ Blaine and Kurt.
